THE CAST
Jack Sparrow is a 39 year old pirate and now the captain of the Black Pearl. He can be a bit clumsy and rude at times but all together he's a good-hearted guy. He loves drinking and having fun - and can get rather upset when his name doesn't have the title 'captain' in front of it.
[played by Dûnhir]

Katherine Elizabeth Turner is a 17-year old beauty raised on the Black Pearl ship since she was three years old; when her mother were killed. Her swordsmanship is excellent, and she's lightfooted. Katherine finally got tired of Jack's singing and crying as she picked through food, and she turned aruond. "Stop feeling so sorry for yourself!" She snapped, "Only the lousiest pirates do what you're doing, Jack." She frowned and then walked back into her and Mark's cabin. She prepared some food for the two of them and they ate, neither really talking as they did so. After eating and cleaning up, Katherine helped Mark get his shirt off, and she got all of her supplies to clean his wound. It stung like hell, and Katherine hated seeing Mark be in pain, but she knew she had to clean the wound or he would end up with Gangrene. Mark squeezed a piece of Katherine's pants tightly, gritted his teeth, and closed his eyes as Katherine wiped dry blood away and poured peroxide onto his chest.

After she was done, Katherine ran her fingers gently up and down Mark's chest to try to massage a bit of the pain away. It made Mark get goosebumps and chills, having Katherine run her hands along his bare chest. She bent down and kissed him, then pulled the covers up over him and smiled. "I'll be right back." She went to get her nightgown on, and to take her hair down, and then she walked back in and crawled into bed with Mark. She propped herself up and her elbows and kissed him before going to sleep. In the few days after the curse had been broken, kisses were so abundant between the two they didn't even think before doing it, it just happened.

The next morning, the Pearl had arrived at a port. After docking the ship, Jack ran beneath the deck. He didn't want Katherine to see the state he was in; he was a complete mess. Sticky bits of Rum were all over his face and in his hair, and his eyes were bloodshot. As Katherine helped Mark limp off the ship with a makeshift crutch, she felt guilt swell into her, and fear take her over. She couldn't survive without Jack, she realized, but he had already sailed away.

Mark's eyes widened. Marry her...?! He always thought that he'd be the one to propose... He knew he wanted to be with Katherine for the rest of his life, and he wanted to marry her. And, if she wanted to marry him...then, of course he was going to say yes. "Katherine..." he started quietley. She looked up at him, wondering what he was going to say. He opened his mouth to give her his answer, but Katherine interrupted him. "Will you marry me, Mark?" she asked again. Mark smiled. "Yes." he said, and kissed her. They kissed for a very long time, and once the pulled away from each other, Mark smiled again. "I love you." Katherine smiled weakly. "I love you too."

They stayed in the cabin most of the day, until Katherine went off to get them something to eat. Unfortunatley for her though, Jack was in the storage room where all the food and drink was. He was sitting on the floor with his back against the wall, crying, and singing something that he'd made up about an hour ago. He had many empty bottles of rum scatterted around him, and one full bottle in his hand. Charlie was next to him, sleeping. Katherine walked in, ignoring him. Jack saw her, but didn't say anything, he continued to sing his song - and chug down rum in between lines.

Mark looked up at Katherine, alarmed by the slamming of the door, the stomping, and the shouting noises he had heard from above deck. "Katherine? Are you alright?" She was still fuming. "No!" She snapped at Mark. He looked quite taken aback and hurt. "Sorry..." Katherine's face softened and she calmed down, then sat down beside Mark. "I'm sorry...I didn't mean to snap at you like that..." She hadn't noticed it until then, but she was crying just as much as Jack was. Mark smiled at her softly, looking up at her from the pillow. "It's alright, love." She looked at him, rather surprised. No one in the world but Jack had ever called her love. She swallowed hard, trying to choke back her tears. She bent down and lay half on top of Mark, crying into the side of his chest that wasn't wounded. He frowned and ran a hand through her hair. "What's wrong, Katherine? Talk to me, please." She continued to sob, but she spoke through her whimpers. "I don't think Jack wants us on the ship anymore..." She lied. "I want to leave..." Mark looked alarmed and surprised yet again. "But...I thought that Jack was the very reason you didn't want to leave-" Katherine cut him off. "Well now I do. And we'll get off at the next port." Mark looked extremely unsure. "Katherine, you can't take care of my by yourself. I will just be a burden if we go to a port." Katherine shook her head. "No you won't. I can take care of you." She softly kissed each finger in turn on his rough carpenter's hand, then held it to her face. "Marry me, Mark." She whispered through her tears.
Katherine @ 10:36 a.m. , Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Jack frowned. "You...you don't mean that!" Katherine glared at him. "YES I DO!!" she screamed at him. She nodded a little. "That's what me and Mark are going to do...at the next port, we're leaving!!" she said and turned on her heel and walked off. Jack was nearly in tears.

He ran after her. "Katherine, don't leave!" He said and grabbed her arm. "Please!! Don't leave!" he said and flipped her around so she was facing him. He started crying. "I don't want you to leave." Katherine just glared at him. "Well, I do! And so does Mark!" She started to walk off again, but Jack stopped. This time, by hugging her. "Katherine, love. I love you just as much as M-" Katherine cut him off. "NO YOU DON'T!" she snapped and pulled herself away from Jack. She ran down the stairs before Jack could do anything more, swung open the door to her and Mark's cabin, then slammed the door behind her.
Jack @ 11:01 a.m. , Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Katherine was near tears. "NOT ABOUT RUM!!!" She shouted. Jack looked taken aback. "What'sa matter, love?" Katherine was so furious she could have smacked Jack. So she did. He winced. "I'm not sure I deserved that..." She smacked him again. "Yes you did so deserve it! I heard what you said about Mark and I down there!" Jack's eyes widened. "Ah, er...that...well.." She went to smack him again, but this time the captain caught her wrist in mid air. "Katherine, love, listen teh me...I was only joking when I sai-" She interrupted. "NO YOU WEREN'T! WELL GUESS WHAT! MARK AND I STOPPED FIGHTING! AND...AND MAYBE I DON'T NEED YOU AFTERALL, JACK! MAYBE WE'LL JUST GO GET OUR OWN SHIP AND GET MARRIED AND GET AWAY FROM YOU! BECAUSE...CAUSE I DON'T NEED YOU AT ALL!"
Katherine @ 09:51 a.m. , Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Jack walked out, shutting the door behind him. Katherine frowned deeply and stood up, wanting to have a word with Jack. They wouldn't be aruging - and, why did he think that anyways?! Mark lifted his head up from his pillow. "Katherine? Where are you going?" he asked. He looked at her face, and once he saw her, he knew something was bothering her. "What's wrong...?" he asked now frowning as well. Katherine turned to him. "I just...I need to go talk with Jack. I'll be back soon." she said, then kissed him. Mark nodded slowly, still wondering what was wrong. "Alright." he said and kissed her back.

Katherine walked out of the cabin quickly, shutting the door behind her. She went up on deck to find Jack talking to Charlie - something about rum. She rolled her eyes and marched up to him. "I heard what you said!" Jack raised a brow. "Heard what? ...I was talkin' about rum, love. You know everything I know about rum. I raised ye afterall!" he smiled at her.
Jack @ 10:29 a.m. , Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Mark smiled and nodded, still embarassed that Jack had walked in on the two of them. He still had a lot of pain in his chest, and he kind of wheezed when he breathed, but it was slowly getting better. Jack grinned. "How's it feel te be back on the Pearl, love?" She grinned back at him. "Just like home." Jack laughed a bit and then looked from Katherine to Mark. "Sorry fer er...interruptin' you two." He grinned even more widely, making the both of them blush and bite their bottom lips. Jack turned and began to walk out of the cabin, Charlie following closely behind. Right before he went out, though, he muttered, "Jus' wait, Charlie. They'll be fightin' by tonight." He laughed to himself, not meaning for Katherine or Mark to hear. But Katherine did.
Katherine @ 09:11 a.m. , Wednesday, August 13, 2003

Katherine cried herself to sleep that night, staying beside Mark's bed. Mark stayed asleep for the next 3 days. When he woke up finally, Katherine threw her arms around him, and kissed him all over. He was still very weak, but he loved every minute of it and he kissed her back as well. Katherine, who'd been pissed at Jack every day Mark stayed in bed, forgave him just the other day after Jack had made her listen to him.

As the two kissed each other, Jack came skipping in the room (he still didn't get over that he'd killed Barbossa and his whole crew by himself). He had opened the door quietley, thinking Mark would be asleep still, but he was surprised to find the two kissing. He grinned. "Ah, well I see young Mark has finally awoken!" Mark and Katherine pulled away from each other, blushing a little. Charlie jumped down from Jack's shoulder, and cralwed up on the bed in between Katherine and Mark. Jack followed and stood beside them, smiling. "Ye feelin' better, mate?" he asked Mark.
Jack @ 10:42 p.m. , Tuesday, August 12, 2003

Jack frowned and shook his head. "Kath'rine...we can't get 'im back out to the ship o'er the water." Katherine started sobbing even more as Mark's face went palid and his eyes began to roll backwards. "Oh Mark...no...please...please...just a little while longer..." Jack tried to take Katherine's wrist, but she yanked it away and shouted at him. "GO GET A BOAT!" Jack started to protest but her glare was so fiery and fierce and teary-eyed that he couldn't help but do what she had commanded. Luckily, getting a boat wasn't too hard- just a few feet from the mouth of the cave lay several boats, all used by Barbossa's crew. Jack and Katherine worked together to carry Mark out of the cave and onto the boat, then they rowed themselves towards the Black Pearl as fast as possible. By the time the three got onto the ship, Mark had no heartbeat. Katherine was sobbing more than she ever had in her life as she and Jack got him down into one of the cabins.

The first thing Katherine did was kneel beside the bed and bark orders at Jack to get alcohol and warm water, then she tore off Mark's once-white shirt (it was now bright red with blood), and threw it onto the floor. She knew that even if he survived the bleeding, he would catch Gangrene from the bullet lodged in there. She would have to get it out. She frowned and felt as though she could vomit as she cleaned off one of Jack's daggers and slowly picked into Mark's chest. She did so until she got the bullet, and by the end her hands and arms were covered in blood. But at least it was out, and a little bit of the bleeding had ceased. Katherine began digging around for spare sheets, and when she found some she wrapped them around part of the top half of Mark's chest.

Katherine cleaned herself up and bathed, then got her nightgown on and put her hair in a very low ponytail. She brought a fresh bucket of warm water into the bedroom and sat beside Mark, wiping his face, arms, and the part of his chest that was unbandaged clean of sweat and grime. She ran her fingers through his hair and began to cry again. He had started breathing earlier, but not much at all. Katherine stayed up all night, sitting beside Mark and silently mouthing the words to prayers her mother had taught her as a young girl. Her mother. That made her sob harder, thinking of the night the pirates raided Port Royale. It had been Will...all along, it had been Will. She collapsed in tears, face down on Mark's chest in the candlelight.
Katherine @ 09:28 p.m. , Tuesday, August 12, 2003

Katherine's eyes went wide and she immdiately pulled out her gun and started shooting at her father. After hearing him and Barbossa talking, she decided that Will Turner was not her father. She hated him with all her heart. Will got away though, and once he was out of sight, Jack came running to Katherine, "C'mon, Kath'rine! We gotta get out o' here!" Katherine looked at Jack. "But, Mark!!" she shouted and started running towards him. Jack grabbed her arm. "We can't! More of Barbossa's bloody crew is comin'!" he said and started dragging her out of the cave. Katherine looked back at him, choking back tears. "JACK! LET GO!" she screamed at him and pulled herself out of Jack's grip and started running to Mark. Jack kicked the ground angirly, as shouting from the rest of Barobossa's crew was heard. He drew his sword out again and got ready to fight. He didn't mind too much though, he loved all this, actually.

Katherine got to Mark, crying now. "M-mark..." she whimpered and picked his weak body up. He was shaking and crying as well. "Katherine I-" she cut him off, by putting a finger to his lips. "Save it for later." Mark nodded stiffly and relaxed a little bit, breathing deeply. Katherine at the same time, tore off her sleeve and wrapped it around Mark's wound, trying to get it stop bleeding.

Ten minutes later, Jack had gotten rid of every single member of Barbossa's crew. He grinned and wiped off his sword that was stained with blood, then put it back in it's sheath. "Hah! That'll be the second time I've killed you!" he said, standing over Barbossa's dead, bloody body. "And all of your bloody crew, Barbossa! I killed everyone o' your-" he was cut off by Katherine. "JACK!" she screamed. She was pissed at him for what he'd done earlier - trying to get leave with her and now Mark. But at the moment, she didn't care. All she wanted was Mark to be alright. The captain ran over to her and kneeled down beside her. Katherine looked at Jack with a red, blotchy face. "He's loosing too much blood..."
Jack @ 10:09 p.m. , Tuesday, August 12, 2003

Katherine nodded and smiled, getting that familiar surge of excitement as well. Mark, however, was rather worried. But when he saw the smile on Katherine's face, the worry died down a little. He loved seeing her excited and happy like she was. The three of them all crawled up further into the cave, still being silent and staying in the shadows. The moonlight began to shine down through the holes of the cave, and those that were standing in it turned to rotting corpses, as was expected. Barbossa and Will began to argue as Jack snuck towards them, grinning.

Barbossa was getting completely fed up. "Ye don't deserve no more than we've already bargained for, Mr. Turner!" Will glared at him. "I did everything you wanted me to! Every single thing you asked, and you didn't pay me in full!" Barbossa rolled his eyes. "I paid ye fer killin' the lass ye married, and I paid ye fer bringin' me yer daughter, and I paid ye fer yer blood! I ain't payin' you no more!" Will kicked the ground and gritted his teeth. "I hate you Barbossa." The captain grinned and cut Will's hand, then slammed the medallion down on it.

So many things happened in the next moment it was unreal. Jack ran towards Barbossa just as the curse was broken and stabbed him through the chest, then began doing the same with the entire crew. Katherine and Mark didn't even have to do their job; Will had already replaced the medallion for them. It was a good thing, too, because Katherine couldn't move. She was frozen in shock. Her father had been paid to kill her mother?! She was crying, but she didn't know it. She was feeling a hatred for her father that was so deep at the time words couldn't describe it. Will, of course, began to stuff treasure down his shirt and run out of the cave unnoticed. But before he did so, he pulled out his gun and, with a shaking hand, got ready to shoot his only daughter. Mark saw what was happening. His eyes widened, and he ran to save Katherine. As Will pulled the trigger, Mark jumped in front of his love and took the bullet right through his chest.
Katherine @ 08:43 p.m. , Tuesday, August 12, 2003

Mark raised a brow. "And when will that be?!" Jack ignored him and swam down deeper into the mouth of the cave, being extremley careful not to make too much noise or be seen. A couple minutes later, he motioned for Katherine and Mark to come. Will was talking with Barbossa when they got there. Barbossa had the medallion in his hand, and Will was trying to make a deal with him - he wanted more gold for his blood. Jack rolled his eyes. Bastard...he used teh not care 'bout treasure...all he cared about was 'is family...liked him more back then, then now... Jack thought to himself.

Jack lowered himself in the water."I get teh kill Barbossa...! So you two stay away from 'im." he whispered. Mark shrugged. "What about the medallion?" Jack thought for a moment and looked over at Katherine, smiling. "That's up teh you two...don't let me down!" he whispered again, sounding more excited then before.
Jack @ 09:20 p.m. , Tuesday, August 12, 2003

Katherine frowned and nodded. "I...I know." Jack gave her a pat on the back. "Let's go." She ndoded to him yet again, and then three of them jumped out of the ship, heavily armoured with knives, swords, and a gun each. Katherine had some rope as well, just because rope always seemed to come in handy in the strangest situations. The three swam (Mark had finally learned from Jack, and he was a fairly good swimmer after some lessons and some practicing) to the mouth of the cave and peered inside from the water. Jack whispered hoarsely. "I'm goin' in first. I'll signal to the two of ye when I'm ready."

Dunny, sorry that it took me so long to get a post up today! I was helping my daddy with some painting at his apartment. And I'm also sorry that this post is sooo oober shitty. I can't wait till you get back today! Love and cheers, Britter <3
Katherine @ 12:01 p.m. , Tuesday, August 12, 2003

The rest of the day went by quickly for the three. Katherine and Jack spent most of the morning having fun teasing Mark. In the afternoon, they just talked, sitting up on deck, eating and drinking and such. Late in the evening, however, Jack had asked Katherine and Mark to stay up on deck for an hour or so, so he could go get some rest (he hadn't gotten any good sleep in the past couple days). It got quieter after Jack left, and after about a half hour, the light of the full moon shineing down on the ship. Mark turned into a skeleton, Katherine was used to seeing him that way now, but she still didn't like it of course. As much as Mark hated staying up on deck, Katherine said she was going to stay up and keep watch, and so Mark stayed with her.

After a couple more hours, the island that the cave was on came into veiw. And there was the Black Pearl, docked not far from the cave. Katherine ran down to get Jack, and within minutes, he came skipping up on deck, humming a nameless tune to himself. Mark faced the captain. "Jack...? Why are you so happy?" Jack grinned. "'Cause! I'm gonna kill Barbossa fer the second time! His ship will be mine...AND! The curse'll be gone! That's something teh be happy about, isn't it mate?" Mark nodded a little. "...But, it might not go the way we want it to, you know..." Jack ignored him and faced Katherine. "Ready, love?" She nodded at him. Jack sighed a little. "I, eh...Will'll probably be in there, yeh know."
Jack @ 09:45 p.m. , Monday, August 11, 2003

Mark raised an eyebrow. "What kinds of things?" Jack laughed. "None o' yer business, mate!" He began singing the pirate song to himself, and that made Katherine smile. She took Charlie off of his shoulder and cuddle him and kissed him; Charlie could count on Jack to be good company, someone to talk to, and Katherine to spoil him and cuddle him and feed him whenever he was hungry. For a monkey, he was living quite the life. Katherine set Charlie back up on Jack's shoulder, then she casually folded her arms and leaned up against one of the mainbrace poles. She grinned. "Jack...do you really think Mark's ready for this sort of thing?" Mark frowned, listening to them. Jack grinned as well and winked at Katherine; the two figured they would have a little fun driving Mark crazy. "Ah, love, I don't know. He doesn't seem quite ready fer this kind of piracy. Perhaps we should leave 'im to watch the ship. Mark interjected. "No! I'm coming with you two! I'm ready!" Jack and Katherine both grinned and continued to play along. Katherine walked up to Mark and planted a kiss on his cheek. "Oh really? And what makes you think that?" Mark folded his arms uncomfortably, still frowning, and thought for a moment. "I...er...I just am!" Katherine rolled her eyes and then, without even thinking, kissed Mark on the lips. He pulled away quickly and sputtered, wiping his mouth. Katherine frowned deeply. "Oh...I forgot..." She sat down beside Jack and the wheel as Mark sighed heavily and began praying that the curse would be broken easily, and that the three of them didn't get hurt.
Katherine @ 06:33 p.m. , Monday, August 11, 2003

Katherine smiled even more. She didn't say anything, she just kissed his cheek quickly and after they talked for a bit longer, went up on deck to see what all was going on. Jack was standing by the steering wheel of the ship, talking to Charlie who was sitting on his shoulder. Katherine and Mark laughed a little at the sight - Jack couldn't stand having the monkey around only a week or so ago, and now he'd hardly go anywhere without Charlie.

When Jack seemed to have finished his conversation with Charlie, Katherine and Mark walked up to him, Katherine spoke first. "How much further do you think we have, Jack?" Jack thought for a moment and grinned. "Should be there late tonight, love!" Katherine nodded and smiled as well. Mark took a step forward. "Um...how exactly are we going to do this...? Get the medallion back and all, you know?" Jack shrugged, still smiling. "Don't know, mate. We'll just deal with things as they come!" he said with an excited tone in his voice. Mark frowned slowly. "You were up all night...and you couldn't even come up with a...plan or something?!" Jack shook his head slowly. "Eh...no. I was busy with other things."
Jack @ 06:49 p.m. , Monday, August 11, 2003

When morning came round, Katherine woke up first, yawning heavily. She smiled when she looked over at Mark. He looked so sweet asleep...at peace, really, with a look on his face you could never find while he was awake. She bent down and lightly kissed his forehead, making him awaken and yawn, then stretch out his arms and yawn again. Katherine giggled and propped herself up on her elbow. "Good morning." He smiled at her, still half-asleep. "Mornin'." But Mark wasn't half asleep for long. Jack flung the door to their cabin open, grinning. "We're catchin' up to the ship! A mate at the port said that 'e saw Barbossa yesterday!" Katherine looked at Jack confusedly. "What? Port?" Jack nodded, grinning still. "I stopped at a port to get some more rum, but ye two was still sleepin, and ye looked all precious and special layin' there together." He laughed a bit, making fun of Katherine. She shot him a playful glare. "We can look precious and special if we want, and it's none of your business." Jack rolled his eyes and smiled at her as she got out of bed. Mark did the same, just more slowly, still stretching and yawning. Once the two were dressed and ready to start the day, Mark took Katherine in his arms. "Katherine?" She smiled. "Hm?" He smiled back at her. "After we break the curse, the first thing I'm doing is kissing you forever."
Katherine @ 10:49 p.m. , Sunday, August 10, 2003

Katherine frowned deeply, unsure of what to say. "Mark..." she started. It went silent, and Mark started to try to fall asleep, but couldn't. After two minutes or so, Jack could be heard signing up above deck and shouting various things that concerned Barbossa. Katherine half smiled and spoke up, "The curse ... will be gone soon, Mark." she said and gave him a hopeful smile. "Then everything will be normal again." Mark nodded and smiled as well. "Yeah." he paused and nodded again. "...I know." It was quiet between the two once again, neither one knowing what to say to the other, plus, they couldn't fall asleep with the racket Jack was making above them. After a while though, a loud thump was heard and all the noise from the Captain was gone.

Katherine wanted to say something more to Mark that night, but before she could think of something, her eyes closed on her and she fell asleep. Mark followed shortly after.
Jack @ 11:33 p.m. , Sunday, August 10, 2003

Katherine nearly started crying. She smiled sweetly and threw her arms around Mark. His eyes widened; he had no idea that she had been thinking the same thing he had. She pulled away from the embrace for a moment and her eyes glistened as she looked into his. "That's the sweetest thing you've ever said to me, Mark." He blushed a deep red and smiled sheepishly. "It's true...I love you..." Katherine smiled and wiped her eyes. "I love you too, Mark." They kissed each other forever and ever, just lying there in the candlelight. When Mark finally pulled away, Katherine smiled softly at him and brushed the long, dark hair out of his eyes. She propped herself up to kiss him again, but he just shook his head and frowned. "I...let's go to sleep..." Katherine frowned and looked at him confusedly. "Mark...what's wrong?" He swallowed hard and looked away from her. "I..I don't want to kiss you." Katherine looked shocked and upset. "But...why not?" She questioned desperately. Mark tried his hardest not to cry, just as Jack had instructed him. "The curse, Katherine...your kisses taste like ash to my lips..."
Katherine @ 06:04 p.m. , Sunday, August 10, 2003

Mark looked at her with a blank expression for a moment. "What do I think will happen to us...?" he asked, repeating what Katherine had just said. Katherine nodded, looking intrested. Mark sighed, "Well, uh...I hope we'll still be together. I hope we'll always be together...and I -" he stopped himself and blushed. "Nevermind." he said quickly. Katherine smiled, looking even more intrested in what he had to say. "No! Tell me!" Mark shook his head. "No, I-I don't want to!" Katherine giggled at him. "Please?" she kissed him on the cheek. After a couple more minutes, Mark gave in and slowly spoke. "I hope that ... someday ... we could get married ... and be on our own, you know?"
Jack @ 07:29 a.m. , Sunday, August 10, 2003

Katherine kept frowning and crying as Jack took her hands between his rough, old pirate hands and smiled at her, being sincere. "Katherine, I'm sorry, love. I shouldn't have treated ye that way. You didn't do anything, and I know that." He kissed her hands and then smiled up at her again. She sniffed and smiled a little bit, and Jack kept talking to her. "Ol' Jack's always gonna be here for you. Cause I love you, Katherine. And don't you ever forget that." She sniffled and smiled again, then Jack's grin widened. "What do ye say we go find that medallion and chop Barbossa's head off?" Katherine giggled and grinned even more. "I say that it sounds like a plan to me." Katherine hugged him, and the two walked up on deck, talking and such.

When they got on deck, Katherine went over to Mark, who was frowning and trying to think of ways to make Katherine feel better. To his surprise, she was already feeling better. She smiled at her and hugged him, then for no reason whatsoever kissed him for a very, very long time. When she pulled away, his eyes were wide and a smile of awe was on his face. "Wow..." Katherine giggled. "What do you mean 'wow'?" He grinned even more. "I mean...wow...you've...you've never kissed like that before..." Katherine giggled again and then put her arms around his neck and rested her head on his shoulder. Mark yawned and rubbed his eyes. "Want to get to bed?" Katherine yawned as well and nodded, taking her head off of Mark's shoulder. "We haven't slept in days." Mark nodded and then put his hand around Katherine's waist, and as the two walked below deck, he made sure to do the manly walk that Jack taught him. When Jack saw that, he grinned and then flipped out his compass to figure out where they needed to go to find Barbossa.

When they got down to the cabin, Katherine got her sheer white nightgown on. Mark took off his shirt, as was usual for him, then got into bed and yawned yet again, burying his head in the pillow. Katherine smiled and climbed in bed beside him. She propped herself up on an elbow. "I love you." Mark looked up at her and smiled. "I love you too, Katherine." They kissed for a long time, then Katherine bit her bottom lip and asked Mark something she'd been wanting to ask him for quite a while. "Mark?" He raised his eyebrows. "Hm?" She looks into his eyes. "What...what do you think will happen with the two of us? In the long run, I mean?"
Katherine @ 10:25 p.m. , Saturday, August 9, 2003

Jack opened the door to Katherine's cabin quietley, not bothering to knock, but that wasn't out of the ordinary. He stepped in, worried that Katherine was going to hate him now. "...Katherine?" He said and shut the door behind him. Katherine turned around, and Jack forced a smile at her, which made her turn back around. Jack's smile sunk and he bit his bottom lip. "I'm sorry, love." he walked over to Katherine and sat down next to her. She didn't say anything to him. She didn't even look at him. Jack looked down at the floor for a moment, thinking of what to say. Once he figured out what he wanted to tell her, he stood up and kneeled down in front of Katherine. "A'least look at me." he said and gave her a smile that wasn't forced this time.
Jack @ 10:00 p.m. , Saturday, August 9, 2003

Katherine frowned and nearly started to cry. Jack had never screamed at her like that. Not even when she was a little girl and she annoyed the hell out of him on the ship. He got upset, but never shouted at her. Katherine choked back tears for several minutes, just staring Jack in the eyes as Mark looked at her, wondering what he should do. She eventually couldn't take it anymore. She started to cry and then shot Jack a nasty look and turned on her heel. She walked across the deck and down into the ship's hold, then into her cabin. Jack frowned and stopped feeling so angry, really. His anger was replaced with guilt. Mark shot him an angry glare. "Great job, Jack. Excellent work. As if she needs anything else to have to be upset about." He turned to find Katherine. Once Mark was off deck, Jack kicked the side of the ship as hard as he could. "DAMMIT!" Of course, he pulled his foot back quickly. "OUCH! DAMMIT! AGAIN!" He held his foot for a moment in pain- shouldn't have kicked the ship like that.

Mark, meanwhile, walked into Katherine's cabin. She was sitting on the bed, cursing her father and crying her eyes out. Mark sat down beside her, but she quickly shoved him away. He put his hands in his pockets and walked to the door. "I...I'll be on deck if...if you want to talk or something..." He walked out, but stuck his head back in the door. "I love you, Katherine." Then he walked up on deck. Jack, however, walked right past him, going down to Katherine's cabin to see if he could fix things.

Dunny, I had an idea that maybe Jack's just pissed because Barbossa's always seemed to win against him, and it's more of a pride thing than who has the medallion. Just an idea =P Love and cheers, Britter <3
Katherine @ 08:05 p.m. , Saturday, August 9, 2003

As Jack continued to cry and moan, Katherine and Mark watched silently, unsure of what to do. Katherine finally went over to Jack, and grabbed his shoulders, making him stop banging his head on the steering wheel. "Jack...it doesn't matter...they can't do anything with it, right? I mean, they don't have me - so...so they won't have the blood." Jack groaned. "But Barbossa can get Will to do it!!" It fell silent again. But Mark spoke up a couple minutes later, "Why does it matter who has the medallion?" Jack and Katherine looked over at him. Mark continued, "I mean...if Barbossa has the medallion and he can use Will's blood...the curse will be gone anyway, right? So why does it matter?"

Jack started banging his head on the steering wheel again, still crying. "It - does - too - matter!!" he said in between banging. Jack looked over at them, "...G-GO AWAY!!" he screamed, tired of the looks they were giving him.

Britt - haha, I don't know what's bothering Jack so much (what Mark said is what I think, you know? ^^) ... so I guess we'll have to think of something...unless you already did. =P lol. Hope I made sense. XD <3 Dun
Jack @ 06:38 p.m. , Saturday, August 9, 2003

Katherine laughed nervously. "Stop fooling Jack...you have it, right? I mean...I gave it to you...right?" Jack frowned deeply. "The monkey gave it teh you- I don't have it!" Katherine swallowed hard and looked from Mark back to Jack. "B-but...I gave it to you!" Jack shook his head. "No ye didn't!" The two argued about where it might be for the next few minutes, and Mark broke it up. "Well...wait you two, stop this. It could be on the ship somewhere, right?" Jack and Katherine both nodded, and then the three of them all split up and began searching anywhere and everywhere around the ship, looking for the medallion. After several hours of unsuccesful searching, they gave up. Jack started crying, right after telling Mark not ever to cry again only a few hours earlier. "That means Barbossa's got it! And we'll never catch up with him in time!" He continued to cry and bang his head up against the steering wheel of the ship.
Katherine @ 01:47 p.m. , Saturday, August 9, 2003

Mark nodded slowly. "Alright...I won't cry anymore." he said. Jack nodded with approval. "Right then! I'm gonna have teh teach ye how to swim once we land...and, eh..." he thought for a moment, "...Ye can't wash yer clothes for a good long while, savvy?" Mark made a face, which showed he wasn't up to it, but when Jack scowled at him, he gave in and promised that he wouldn't.

Once Jack had announced he thought it would be enough for now, Mark stopped him from leaving. "Umm...don't tell Katherine you helped me, alright?" Jack rolled his eyes and nodded. "Yer embarassed, right?" he laughed, "Alright, mate. I won't tell her...but I bet she'll be able teh figure it out herself."

Jack left after that, ordering Mark to stay up on deck and keep watch. Jack himself headed downstairs to find Katherine.

He found her, just stepping out of her and Mark's cabin, and heading down the hallway. Jack stopped her, "Kath'rine!" She turned around, and Jack walked up to her. "Where's the medallion?"
Jack @ 12:09 p.m. , Saturday, August 9, 2003

Mark took a deep breath, stood, puffed out his chest, tightened up his muscles, and began to walk as manly as he could. Jack burst out into laughter, making Mark frown. "But I walked like you did!" Jack shook his head. "Yer tryin' too hard!" He stood and then explained to Mark that the walk, while being manly, had to be natural. "Understand?" Mark nodded. "I think..." And then he tried again, and did it succesfully. Jack grinned. "Now! Second step! Ye can't cry so damn much! Try, eh, try looking sad when somethin' bad happens. But don't cry! Real men don't cry!"
Katherine @ 08:06 a.m. , Saturday, August 9, 2003

Jack folded his arms and sighed. "I dunno, mate...I personally think -" Mark interrupted me. "Please! Show me!!" Jack rolled his eyes. "Fine, fine...we'll start with yer walk." he said and smiled. "Walk over there." Jack instructed. Mark hesitated at first, guessing Jack would probably laugh at him as he did so, but did it anyways. Jack didn't laugh however, he just smiled and sighed. "This is how you walk, mate." he said and did his best to copy Mark's movements as he walked over to where Mark was. Mark went a little red when the captain stopped. "I don't...I don't look like that!" Jack laughed a little. "Yes ye do!" he paused and turned around, "Now watch me." he said, with a hint of pride in his voice. He walked back over to the rail of ship, doing his 'manly' walk. "Now you do it." he said, grinning.

Britt - You're so lucky school doesn't start for a while longer for you! Can't wait to talk to you YIM, lol, am in need of advice before school starts. =P <3 Dun
Jack @ 10:03 p.m. , Friday, August 8, 2003

Mark frowned. "But...I am tough!" Jack stared at him for a moment and then began to laugh out loud. Mark's frown deepened. "Mate, callin' you tough is like callin' a prostitute a virgin!" He continued to laugh, and Mark folded his arms, rather embarassed. "Well...I...erm...what is it about me that isn't tough?" Jack wiped the tears from his eyes from laughing so hard and quit his laughing so he could give Mark his advice. Jack began to count the things out on his fingers. "Well, pretty much that ye cry too much, ye can't swim, ye have a problem with wearin' dirty clothes, and ye're entirely too polite. And ye walk like a pansy, mate! You don't walk like a man.!" Mark thought for a moment. "Well...then show me how to change it!"

Dunny, I s'pose we can both be bored at the same time XD School starts for me like September 3, I think. Since I'm moving, it starts later. It would start August 21, but, luckily, I'm moving! Yay! No more living in the middle of no where! Woo hoo! Ah! You signed up for drama class! KICK ASS, GIRL! That's the whole reason my mum and I are moving to NYC, pretty much- so I have a chance at auditioning for mucn more than I'm able to in Missouri. And even if you're shy, I think you'll love drama! I was pretty shy when I started doing it, but basically, you just have to pretend that you aren't you. That you're the character. I'll tell you more and give you tips and things when we can chat on Yahoo =D Love you like a sister, Dunny! -Britter <3

If Mark and Katherine hadn't been fighting the way they had been in the past couple days, Jack would have been grinning ear to ear, feeling excited for when that day would come. But Katherine and Mark had been at each other's throats constantly and now Jack was seriously starting to think that the two just weren't meant to be together. "Marry her?" his face did lighten up a bit though, "Well, mate, you two still 'ave a long ways teh go before you can get married...least that's what I think." Mark frowned, knowing Jack was right, but, of course he didn't want to accept that. "But - but, I love her! And she loves me! So...er..." he drew himself into a silence. Jack smiled a bit, deciding to change the subject. "First thing yeh have to do to prove yerself...yeh got to stop being so damn whiney! I keep tellin' you that yeh have to toughen up...and I mean it, mate!"

Britt - Well, you're right. We have done posts that even more shit then the last one I did. XD Nope, hasn't gotten any better...so you're bored as well? Waaa ;_; Sucks doesn't it? Anywho, I still don't know who that guy on your lay is. =P When does school start for you? Mine is August 25th or 26th. Am not looking forward to it. lol. But what kid would look forward to school? I signed up for drama class...but now I'm starting to regret it...I'm too damned shy to do it! You act, right? lol Once I get back don't be surprised if I ask you for some advice or something! =P Hope your boredness goes away soon. XD <3 Dun

Mark spoke on impulse. "So Katherine will trust me to get a good ship for the two of us." Jack frowned and raised an eyebrow, and Mark's eyes widened, suddenly realizing he shouldn't have told Jack that important piece of information. He swallowed hard as Jack spoke. "Mate, why do ye want to get off this ship so badly?" Mark was amazed that Jack hadn't gotten completely pissed. For once, the pirate was keeping his cool. Mark thought for a moment, then he answered truthfully. "I...I don't know...I just...I want Katherine to myself..." Jack looked at him, rather confused. "Then why get yer own ship? If ye want to be with Katherine, then yeh'd be better on this ship, with me. If it's just you two, ye ain't got a chance in hell o' spending more time with Katherine. Yeh'll be so busy tryin' to pilot the ship rightly and defend yerselves, it won't even be funny. Savvy, mate?" Mark thought about what Jack said for a moment. "But..." Jack cut him off. "It ain't goin' teh be some fairytale. It's a harsh world, mate. Believe me. I seen it all, the ups and the downs, the sun and the rain. It's a real harsh world. And, mate, what do ye plan to do with Katherine? Just 'take care' o' her like the rest o' them British blokes? Crude awakening, mate. Katherine don't need taken care of." Mark looked utterly defeated. "I was...well...I was..." He said weakly. Jack looked at him, interested. "You was what?" Mark swallowed hard. "I kind of wanted to...to marry her...someday..."

Dunny, your last post was SO not shitty! Both of us have done posts WAY shittier than that! XD So is your grandpa's getting any less boring? If it makes you feel any better, I'm oober bored myself. So, yeah, I guess we're kind of in the same boat here. My mum made me go furniture shopping with her for like two hours. Was I up for that? Hell, no! XD Thanks for the compliments on my new layout! =D It took quite a while to make- most people have never heard of the guy on it. His name's Adam, and he's the lead singer for a group called the Counting Crows, one of my all time favorite bands =D They're not very well known, though XD Anyways, talk to you later! Cheers! -Britter <3

Jack thought for a moment. He threw the now empty bottle of rum he had overboard and turned to Mark. "First ye have teh tell me somethin'." Mark nodded, "Alright! What is it??" Jack smiled. "You really think I fancy Katherine?" Mark went a little red in the face. "I..err...I guess I was just jumping to conclusions." Jack just kept his smile pasted on his face. "That ye were, mate...and I guess I could help you." Mark's whole face lit up. "Thank you, Jack!!" Jack shrugged. "No problem...but one more thing." he said slowly. Mark frowned, "Um, what is it?" Jack questioned him again, "Why do yeh need teh 'prove' yourself?"

Britt, sorry for the shitty post. ^^ I think it's my worst one yet. lol...and do go saying it was good or anything to make me feel better! XD Miss ya lots! <3 Dun
Jack @ 12:46 p.m. , Friday, August 8, 2003

Katherine was angry at him again, but she figured it wasn't helping any to shout. She took a deep breath. "Mark...I want to tag along with Jack..." Mark sighed. "But...we could have our very own ship, and we could...we could do whatever we want!" Katherine shakes her head. "It isn't that easy, Mark. When you have your own ship, you have to do your own pilaging, manage your goods, get your crew, the works. Just because you're a pirate, it doesn't mean you don't have to be organized." She sighed. "Mark, I'll tell you what..." He raises an eyebrow, disappointed. "Hm?" She smiles a little. "You prove to me by staying on this ship that you really want to be with me no matter what, and I'll think about it. But you have to prove yourself first, Mark." She kissed the top of his head. "I'm going to get my nightgown on."

Mark smiled to himself. I can prove myself...that's easy. All I have to do is... Mark stopped in his tracks and smile turned into a frown. What did he have to do to prove himself? He began to panic, and he ran out the door to find Jack. By this time, the captain was up on deck. Mark ran up there in a sweat. "Jack! Jack!" Jack was leaning up against the side of the deck, drinking rum. "Calm down, mate. What do ye need?" Jack went and sat down beside him, talking quickly. "Katherine says I have to prove myself to her but I don't know how and I don't know what to do because-" Jack cut him off. "Slow down, mate! You need to prove yourself to her? And why'd ye come to me?" Mark sighed. "Because I don't know how!" Jack grinned. "And ye want me to teach ye about women?" Mark nodded. "Yes! Please?!"
Katherine @ 10:34 a.m. , Friday, August 8, 2003

Katherine sniffed and then said, "Th-then stop trying to change me and...stop all your complaining...!" she was about to say something about Jack as well, but stopped herself: she knew that Mark would go off when he heard Jack's name. Mark nodded slowly. "I will!" Katherine pulled herself away from Mark and sat up straight. "That's what you keep telling me, but you never do it!" Mark bit his bottom lip. "But...I'll try harder this time!" he said, praying that it would be enough to convince Katherine. But it wasn't, because Katherine just rolled her eyes at him. "You've told me that before too." she said. Mark was starting to get worried - Katherine wasn't buying anything he said...

"M-maybe...do you remember what I told you last night?" he asked slowly, "About you and me...getting our own ship, remember?" Katherine saw where he was going immdiately. "But, Mark, we can't..." Mark frowned, "Why not, Katherine?! We could go off and do whatever we want to...we wouldn't have to be tag - alongs with Jack!"
Jack @ 08:16 a.m. , Friday, August 8, 2003

Jack put his ear up against the door and heard Mark speaking first. "I swear it! He told me he fancies you!" Katherine didn't believe him. "Jack's like a father, Mark! There's no way he said that!" Mark nodded enthusiastically. "He did so! I HEARD HIM!" Katherins hook her head. "THERE'S NO WAY!" Jack pressed his ear more firmly up against the ear. Mark and Katherine were then in an all out brawl. Jack rolled his eyes. He was so tired of them fighting he felt as though he could put a bullet in his head. He just stood and slouched back up on deck, then fell asleep.

Katherine and Mark ended up fighting until Katherine just broke down in tears and sat on the bed. "IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU TO LOVE ME! DAMN IMPOSSIBLE! ALL YOU DO IS BLOODY COMPLAIN TO ME!" She cries into her hands and doesn't talk to Mark anymore. He stomps out of the room and slams the door behind him, but it takes him no more than ten minutes to march back in and throw his arms around Katherine. He sits on the bed and pulls her up onto his lap. "I love you so much...Katherine I do..." He starts to cry just a tiny bit. "I do, I love you more than anything..." She continues to sob. "Th-then prove it..." Mark starts to kiss her all over her tear-stained face and neck. "I want to be with you forever, spend the rest of my life with you, even if we end up staying in the cabin of a ship for the rest of our lives. Because that's how much I love you, Katherine."
Katherine @ 08:55 p.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Jack started to follow Mark, but stopped when he heard a door shut. It had indeed been Mark who had slammed the door to his and Katherine's cabin. He decided he'd go to bed...he was tired of waiting for Katherine and he didn't want to encounter Jack again for sure. Jack, meanwhile, went downstairs, got himself some rum and went back up on deck. He got through half of the bottle, and couldn't taste anything once he started drinking. He looked down at his belly - bones. He groaned and threw the bottle down on the ground angirly. It crashed onto the wood, breaking into tiny peices of glass and the rum splashing onto the ground. He marched down below deck - he aboslutley hated having a share of the curse. He started to stomp off to his cabin, but passed Katherine and Mark's cabin where she heard the two talking.

Britt- lol! It was a great post - it made sense. =P Sorry mine is short and sucky. XD Oh! I saw your new layout! I've never heard of the guy that's on it, but it looks great! <3 Dun
Jack @ 08:54 p.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Mark flushed a deep red and frowned more, then raised an eyebrow. Jack himself knew that Katherine was like a daughter to him, and that he loved her more than anything. Mark, however, didn't think of it as 'fatherly love'. He misunderstood that Jack actually...actually fancied Katherine. "But you're more than twice her age! And she doesn't love you!" Jack raised an eyebrow. "What are you talking about, mate?" Mark looked extremely upset. "I can't believe you, Jack! How could you...how could you fancy her?!" And Mark marched off before Jack had the chance to say that he loved Katherine, but he didn't fancy her the way Mark did.

Dunny, hope my post made sense! XD -Britter <3
Katherine @ 07:10 p.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Jack convinced himself he would wait until tomorrow to have a chat with Mark, he was starting to get a bit sleepy and bored. After Mark's last sentence about him and Katherine getting a ship, the two had started kissing, which Jack didn't find very intresting after a while. The captain fell asleep pretty quickly and of course, he started his snoring and singing - which Katherine heard. Now she knew that Jack hadn't been asleep the whole time she and Mark were talking. She quickly shrugged it off though, figuring he wouldn't have minded anything they'd said and fell asleep herself, Mark doing the same.

The next morning, Jack woke up and he gathered up the few things he had with him - his jacket, hat, sword and his compass. Charlie was awake too, following Jack around the tiny room. Jack grinned and walked over to Katherine and Mark. "Wake Kath'rine up for me, will yeh?" he asked looking down at Charlie. The monkey seemed to understand and jumped up onto Katherine and started poking at her feet. She woke up, giggling. When she saw Jack she raised a brow. "...What are you doing? We're not leaving are we...?" Jack shook his head. "No, but, uh, I just want teh go have a look around...see what ship I fancy." He gave her a grin. "I'll be back later."

Katherine nodded as Jack walked over to the door. He turned around though, remebering something. "Monkey!" he called out, looking down at Charlie. Katherine rolled her eyes. "His name is Charlie, Jack, not 'monkey'." Jack shrugged as Charlie quickly crawled up onto Jack's shoulder. "He comes teh me by either one..." he walked back over to the door and put his hand on the knob, but Katherine asked him a question. "Are you going to find a crew too?" Jack shook his head. "Not yet, love." he said quickly and walked out the door before Katherine could ask him why.

They day went by quickly. Jack was out practically the whole day, and so Katherine and Mark went out and walked around the Port as well, never running into Jack though. By evening, everyone was back the inn. Katherine smiled as Jack walked in. "Find the ship you want?" Jack nodded. "Aye! ...you two get ready, we got teh leave soon." Katherine and Mark nodded and gathered up the things they had, and once everyone was ready, they all headed out to the docks. It wasn't hard at all to commandeer the ship - the whole crew (save but two pirates) were out around the port, which wasn't at all a surprise. They set sail quickly and were away from the pirate-ruled port in no time.

The rest of the night went by slowly. Katherine was walking around below deck with Mark for a while, and Jack stayed up on deck alone, liking the fact that he could stay out in the night without turning into a skeleton since the moon was covered by clouds. A while later, Katherine left Mark to take a bath and so, having nothing better to do, walked up on deck where Jack was.

The captain saw Jack was alone, and knew that now was the perfect oppurtunity to have a talk with Mark. "Mark! Over here, mate." he called out to get the boy's attention. Mark walked over to him, smiling, obviously in a very cheery mood. Jack, however, wanted to get straight the point. "I heard you and Katherine talkin' last night." he said frowning slightly. Mark frowned a little as well, "You were listening?" Jack didn't answer Mark's question, "I don't want yeh thinking that you can go off with Kath'rine whenever ye want, cause yer not the only one who wants teh be with her."
Jack @ 07:34 p.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Katherine's eyes widened as Mark began to unbutton his pants. She wanted to stop him from completely undressing, but, quite honestly, she was transfixed on him and couldn't quite find it in herself to say anything. Jack grinned and gave Mark a surprisingly friendly slap on the back. Mark stopped unbuttoning and looked at Jack, bewildered. "What...was that for?" Jack laughed and grinned at Mark more widely. "Yer startin' to act like a pirate, now, mate. When you want somethin', you ain't supposed to ask nicely, yer supposed teh command it and show ye means business. We'll get ye set up with a new outfit, no worries. Just work on bein' a bit more manly, and ye'll be right on yer, way, mate." Jack gave him another slap on the back and as he walked out the door, he said to them, "Goin' to get us some more rum!" And then left. Katherine and Mark looked at each other, amazed. Katherine was almost sure he was going to go into a ranting rage about Jack calling him a pirate. But for the first time since the two had met, Mark actually wasn't upset about being called a pirate. Not in the least bit. He...well...he almost liked it. And he liked the idea of getting his way without being so damn polite. He would still be polite to Katherine, of course, but he was contemplating in his mind a possible career change. He hated being a carpenter...

Katherine picked the ripped up shirt off the ground and smiled at Mark. "The shops won't be closed just yet. Want to go get something?" He smiled and nodded at her, putting his shoulder-length dark hair up into a ponytail, then the two set off to the lousy 'marketplace' on the island. Amazingly enough, pirates did run supply and clothing shops on the island, so they went into one and picked out some rather cheap clothes; Katherine found a cream-colored baggy, button-up shirt and a brown jacket, then a pair of light brown pants for him. They were just like Jack's old clothes he had been wearing, only much cleaner. He liked them, so they bought the outfit and then went back to the inn.

Mark and Katherine stayed up late that night, lying in bed, propped up on their elbows, face to face in the dark, with a sleeping Charlie curled up next to Katherine. They talked about anything and everything; about Mark's old life in Port Royale, Will, Barbossa, Jack, the Curse. They thought Jack was asleep, but he was, sure enough, up listening to them talk, and he was fine with everything up until they got to talking about Mark staying with them and becoming a pirate in his own right. "And maybe someday we could have our own ship, just you and me, Katherine..." Jack was going to have to teach Mark that he could fancy Katherine, but he wasn't taking her away from Jack.

Dunny, awesome last post! Hope mine was okay ^^. Miss you tons! Come back soon! lol! Love you like a sister, Britter <3
Katherine @ 04:12 p.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Jack marched over to Mark and Katherine and stood in the middle of them. Jack's teeth were gritted and his eyes flaming with anger. "LISTEN UP, BOY!" he snapped at Mark, "I'm sick of havin' to listen teh all yer damned complaining! Either you tough everythin' out and stay or...I'll be dropping you back off at Port Royale!!!" He knew he wouldn't do that - that Katherine would probably not approve - but he had to say something that would (hopefully) get the boy to shut up. Everything that Jack had told Mark, however, seemed to go in one ear and out the other, because he showed absoultley no sign of giving up. He was tired of wearing Jack's old clothes and he was going to get himself a new outfit no matter how long it took to persuade Jack and Katherine...But how? What could he say to get them to agree with him? Mark got an idea, just as Jack was about to scream something at him for insulting his clothing.

"I'm not wearing these dammned clothes..." Mark mutterted angirly and ripped off the jacket that Jack had let him wear when he'd been complaining he was cold earlier. Mark threw the old jacket down onto the floor, then followed it with his shirt. The shirt though got a bit damaged when Mark took it off. He hadn't unbuttoned it or anything, he just tore it right off, making the shirt get shredded into two peices. Mark released the shirt and it dropped to the ground on top of Jack's coat.

Britt - haha, great post! Good thing the monkey's name got changed. XD lol. Hope my post made sense. ^^ <3 Dun
Jack @ 04:42 p.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Katherine bit her bottom lip and stroked Jack the monkey's head softly, making the monkey cuddly up against Katherine. "He's adorable...and he wasn't very happy with Barobssa..." Jack rolled his eyes. "But he's an EVIL monkey!" Katherine raised an eyebrow at him comically. "How can a monkey be evil...?" Jack was at the end of his ropes- he just wanted to get some rum and go to bed. "I don't KNOW! But I don't like the monkey!" Katherine held Jack the monkey tightly to her. "Well, I didn't ask whether or not you did. I'm keeping him. And renaming him since it would be entirely too confusing to have two Jacks. I'll call him Charlie. Charlie the monkey." She smiled fondly at Charlie, still finding it hilarious that Jack was about to go haywire on herself and Mark. Jack threw up his hands in disgrace. "Fine! I'll let you keep the monkey! But I won't like it!"

It was quite the contrary, though, really. Jack took a great liking to Charlie, as did Mark, and before long, the idea of not having taken the monkey off the ship seemed absurd. Plus he was excellent at stealing anything (Jack learned this from keeping his compass unattached to his belt and lying freely on the table in the room). Charlie the monkey was a perfect shipmate. The three of them stayed in the inn for several days, getting themselves healed and rested and back together, so that they could commondeer a ship a few nights later. Mark and Katherine had been endlessly bickering at each other since they had begun their stay at the inn, and Jack put up with it for three days. On the fourth night, however, he couldn't take it. Mark was tired of having to wear Jack's clothes, and he wanted an outfit of his own, but they didn't have the kind of money to get him one. And Katherine, was trying to make this clear, but Mark didn't seem to understand. "WE CAN'T AFFORD IT! AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH JACK'S CLOTHING! STOP BEING SUCH A BLOODY PRICK!" Mark retaliated quickly. "ALL I WANT IS AN OUTFIT THAT'S BEEN WASHED ONCE IN THE LAST DAMNED DECADE!" And that was when Jack lost it.
Katherine @ 01:16 p.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Mark immdiately stopped, but Jack was still pissed off. He was soaking wet in the only outfit he had and a monkey would be with them. Katherine started to walk off, but Jack and Mark quickly followed her. They walked through the port, until they found a good inn that they liked (acutally, they really didn't have a choice since it was it was the only one that had a room left). They all trudged in, Mark walking with Katherine, wanting to stay away from Jack since the captain was still angry with him.

Once the door was shut, Jack went off again at Mark. Katherine groaned angirly. "JACK!!" she screamed, "SHUT THE HELL UP!" Jack stopped his yelling and looked at Katherine. He opened his mouth to say something to her, but the Jack (the monkey of course XD) jumped off of Katherine's shoulder and clung onto Jack's shirt, then stuck his fingers up the captain's nose. And Jack immdiately went off yet again, "It was the monkey!!!" he screamed.

Jack the Monkey jumped back over to Katherine, squealing and screeching. Jack narrowed his eyes and for the first time since they left the Black Pearl, noticed something. "THAT'S BARBOSSA'S MONKEY!! WHY IN BLOODY HELL DID YOU BRING IT ALONG?!" he shouted. Jack wasn't at all too fond of Jack the Monkey - thought it was mostly because it was named after him and because it belonged to Barbossa.
Jack @ 08:28 a.m. , Thursday, August 7, 2003

Dun, Jack the Monkey did come on the boat with them XD Great post, btw!

Mark's eyes widened. "I didn't do it! I swear I didn't! It was the monkey!" Jack scowled. "How could the monkey do that when he's sittin' on Katherine's lap?!" Mark struggled desperately for an answer; he didn't want Jack to hate him more than he already did. "He came over to you and did it! I saw him while I was rowing!" Jack and Mark continued this until Katherine herself had rowed the boat clear to the pirate-ruled island. When they reached the dock, Katherine stood and shouted, pulling off the dress Barbossa had given her so she was just wearing her usual pants and baggy shirt. "STOP YOUR DAMNED BICKERING! I'M SO TIRED OF IT! I'VE HAD AN ENTIRELY TOO STRESSFUL DAY, AND I WANT TO BUY SOME DRINKS, FIND AN INN, AND GO TO BED! SHUT UP!!!"

Dunny, sorry for the short, crappy post XD I'll do a longer one tomorrow morning. Love you like a sister, cheers, Britter <3
Katherine @ 08:44 p.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

Mark glared at him. "You know, Jack, you've been trying to change the way I think too!" Jack raised a brow, "What?" Mark glared at him again. "You have! You keep telling me that...that I'm a pirate!" Jack rolled his eyes at Mark. "That's not changing how ye think, mate...that would be the truth." he smiled again, "And maybe if you excepted that you are a pirate and Katherine is and always will be one...well, then maybe things would get easier for yeh." Mark just shook his head, saying nothing. Jack wasn't impressed with Mark at all anymore. "If you want yourself a proper girl, mate, then you can find one, I'm sure. But, Katherine ain't goin' teh be the polite girl you seem teh be wantin', I promise yeh that." Mark was still silent so Jack stayed quite as well.

After a while, Jack had insturcted Mark to do the rowing the rest of the way as the captain wanted to get some shut eye himself. Jack was out in only a couple minutes, and Katherine was still sound asleep as well. Mark groaned, hating the job he'd gotten. Since he wasn't the strongest he had some trouble rowing the boat by himself, and plus, he didn't like hearing Jack singing in his sleep...

But lucikly for Mark he didn't have to put up with all that very long. Jack the monkey popped out from behind Katherine and went over to the sleeping Jack. Mark raised a brow and stopped his rowing slowly and watched. The monkey crawled up onto Jack's chest and put his hands on Jack's face and his fingers made his way into Jack's nose. The captain woke up immdiately, jumping up making the tiny boat rock back and forth.

Katherine had woken up a minute later to find the monkey sitting on her lap. Mark was nearly in tears, laughing his head off. Katherine smiled at the sight and raised a brow. "Jack...?" she looked over the edge of the boat and there was Captain Jack Sparrow floating in the water. Katherine laughed as well as Jack got back on the boat, dripping wet. "That wasn't funny..." he looked back at Mark who was still laughing, "What in bloody hell were you doing?!" he shouted, thinking it was Mark who had woken him up.

Britt - Jack (the monkey Jack XD) came with them on the boat right? ^^ If not I'll redo my post. <3 Dun
Jack @ 07:52 p.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

Katherine thought for a moment and then smacked herself on the head for being such an idiot. She nodded towards the large windows on the other side of the cabin. "We can climb up the sides onto the mainbraces and into a boat; as long as we're quiet, chances are that we won't be seen." Jack grinned. "Excellent job Katherine!" She smiled at him, and then the three began to cut the window frames out so they would be able to crawl through. A moment before, Katherine made sure to grab the medallion from where Barbossa had put it underneath his dirty pillow. She wiped it off on her shirt and then stuck it in her pocket. Once the window panes of the middle window were out, the three got ready to climb through. They stopped, however, when they heard a small squeaky sound from behind. Katherine turned and saw Jack the monkey sitting on the floor, his arms wrapped around her leg. Katherine smiled. For the few hours she'd been aboard the ship, Jack had been a sweetheart, even if he was a monkey. She picked him up and clung onto him as they all climbed out the window, up the side of the ship, and into a boat. They began to row away, into the dark horizon.

As Jack rowed towards a pirate-inhabited island several hours later, he said the first thing any of the three had said since escaping the ship, and he said it to Mark, who was holding a sleeping Katherine. "Ye sure ye really love her?" Mark looked rather taken aback at this sudden question. "I..er...of course I am..." He gulped, feeling uncomfortable without Katherine awake. Jack eyed Mark, looking wary. "She's not like every other girl, ye know." Mark nodded. "But I bet she could be, if she just tried to be polite and ladylike some of the ti-" Jack cut him off with a scowl. "Apparently, mate, you ain't grasping this: she don't want to be polite er ladylike. She's a pirate, mate." He smiled. "That's all she's ever been, and it's all she ever wants ter be. Maybe ye would get along with her a bit more if ye wasn't always tryin' to change the way she thinks."
Katherine @ 05:35 p.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

"KATHERINE!" Mark shouted and ran over to her. Jack winced when Mark yelled - very loud, he was surprised no one had heard it. Jack shut the door and went over to Katherine as well. "You alright, love?" Jack asked as Mark wrapped his arms around her. Katherine nodded stiffly. "Y-yeah...I'm fine..." she said quietly. Jack smiled at her and left her and Mark alone for a while.

To keep himself he busy he started looking through Barbossa's cabin, hoping to find something that intrested him. He did, and anything he wanted, he took. After about ten minutes or so, Jack interrupted Mark who was saying something that Katherine obviously loved, because she was smiling and even giggling a little bit. How did Jack interrupt? He jumped down so he was at their level and threw a pistol he'd found on Barbossa's desk to Mark, then opened Katherine's hand and handed her a sword. "Time teh go." he said. Mark raised a brow. "But - but what can we do to get out of here?" Jack shrugged. "Eh, we'll just fight our way out and get ourselves a lifeboat!" He saw that neither Mark or Katherine was that impressed with his plan. Jack rolled his eyes. "Well, if you two don't like me plan...what do you propose we do?"
Jack @ 06:04 p.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

Mark slipped away into the shadows of one of the corridors below deck, leaving Jack behind. He was completely set on finding Katherine. He snuck down the passageway and then slid himself silently up against a wall, listening through it to see if he heard Katherine's voice. Sure enough, it was. She was talking, frightened and upset, to none other than Barbossa himself. Mark heard everything the two said. He was about the burst in, but Jack grabbed his shoulder and put a finger to his own lips. "Hush!" He whispered hoarsely. "And wait fer my command." Mark gruddgingly nodded and listened to what was going on inside Barbossa's cabin.

Katherine pulled her knees to her chest and rested her chin on the top of them, trying to keep herself from shaking as Captain Barbossa entered the room. She'd never seen him with his hat off before; it was disgusting. He was balding on the top of his head, but the hair that did actually exist there was gray and grisly, dirt and sand and gun powder in it. Katherine could tell he hadn't washed it in years. He grinned his gap-toothed grin and stepped towards her. "Aye, Miss Turner. How are ye?" She backed even farther up against the wall. "S-stay the hell away from me..." Barbossa laughed at her. "Ah, ye seem to not want to be much with me now, but ye'll take a likin' teh me, that's a guarantee." He ran the back of his hand along her cheek, and she smacked him, her teeth gritted. He frowned a bit. "That's no way to treat yer lover, Katherine." She smacked him again. "My name is Miss Turner, you bastard." He grunted and his frown deepened. He nearly spoke, but Katherine continued. "And you aren't my lover." Barbossa just narrowed his eyes at her, turned on his heel, and walked away, out the door. Mark and Jack shrunk into the shadows and watched him pass, then they ran into the room where Katherine was sitting on the floor.
Katherine @ 02:16 p.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

Jack and Mark some how managed to get up on the deck - and luckily the crew hadn't seen them. Almost all of Barbossa's crew was below deck, Jack had guessed they were eating or drinking - and he was hoping that was the case. Jack looked over his shoulder to make sure Mark was still with him, and checked to make sure he had his sword - he'd be needing it...even though it would be pretty useless. All of Barbossa's crew was dead.

He sighed and stated to think of some clever scheme that would work - but Mark interrupted him. "Come on Jack! We've got to get Katherine!" Mark whispered hoarsley and quickly walked past the captain and down the stairs. Jack's eyes widened. "No, mate! Not yet!" Mark ignored him though. Now that he was out of the water all his thoughts were set on Katherine and nothing else. Jack slapped his head silently when Mark disappeared from his sight.
Jack @ 01:46 p.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

Mark swallowed hard and silently crept back up onto the small, sandy shore. Jack rolled his eyes. "It ain't that far out, mate!" Mark shoved his hands in his pockets and shook his head. "It's far enough for me to drown on the way..." Jack kicked the water as hard as he could, so some of it splashed up on Mark. He was angrier than he could ever remember being. He sighed and began his march back up to Mark. "If ye care at ALL about Katherine, you'll tough it out and kick your damned feet clear to the damned boat without a damned problem, mate. And if you want to stay 'ere, that's fine with me, but I'm leavin', because I know we ain't that far behind!" Mark's eyes widened. "You'd leave me here?!" Jack nodded violently and glared at him. "Well, I can either stay here with you since ye can't swim, er I can go get Katherine. Now, which do ye think I'd pick?" Mark groaned and tramped out into the water, making Jack's frown turn upside down. It took about an hour, what with Jack having to help Mark get there, but they finally got themselves on the Black Pearl, and Mark quickly followed every command that Jack gave him to get the ship out of the embankment and onto the ocean.

Katherine, meanwhile, was sitting on the floor next to Barbossa's bed in the captain's cabin. She was in an ugly maroon dress he'd made her put on, and she was shaking from head to toe, frightened to death. She had a very, very good idea of what he was going to do to her that evening, and it scared her more than anything had ever scared her in her life. He wasn't in the cabin at the time, but there were two guards outside the door and one inside of the cabin with her, so she knew there would be no escaping...
Katherine @ 12:22 p.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

Mark eye were now as wide as they possibly could be. "J-JACK!!" he started crying harder, "T-think of something!" Jack stood up, grinning. "I got an idea already, mate." he said and picked up one of the torches that either Will or Barbossa's crew had left, and at the same time Mark questioned him, "Well? What's your idea?!?" Jack sighed. "We're gonna get out of this cave...and then we've got to hope that one o' the ships is still close." Mark's jaw dropped slightly. "WHAT?? That is your idea?! They're probably miles from here!" Jack shrugged. "Yeh got any better ideas?" he asked. Mark bit his bottom lip, "Well, uh...no. No I don't." Jack rolled his eyes, smiling and started running as fast as he could. Mark followed, barely keeping up.

When the two got out of the cave and on the very small beach of the island, they looked around frantically...but there was no ship. Jack started running again, intending to go around the whole island (which wouldn't take long) and check. Mark followed him, still in tears.

"AH! LOOK! The Pearl's still here!" Jack cried out to Mark. Mark caught up with him and there was Jack, pointing to the Black Pearl. Jack immdiately started going into the ocean, and Mark followed, but stopped when the water came up to only his ankles. Jack turned and raised a brow. "What're ye-" he stopped himself when he remembered - Mark couldn't swim.
Jack @ 08:54 a.m. , Wednesday, August 6, 2003

Katherine's eyes widened. "What?! What's he talking about?! The 'girl'?! Me?!" The pirate holding her hands behind her back smacked the side of her face. "Shut up, woman." She scowled at him, but before she could shoot him an insult, Barbossa glared at the pirate and shouted. "DON'T lay a hand on my bride, Thius..." Katherine looked at Barbossa, in shock and revoltion. Bride?! Katherine?! She just about peed in her pants right then, but she was tossed over to Barbossa, who wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck. She screamed and tried to break free, but she couldn't manage it. Barbossa grunted at Will. "Aye, and the medallion?" Will tossed it to him. "All yours. Eighty of your plunder goes to me." Barbossa rolls his eyes. "Yes, yes, I know. Nice doin' business with ye, Cap'n Turner." Barbossa began to carry Katherine away, but she kicked and screamed. "DADDY! DON'T LET HIM DO THIS!! I'M YOUR DAUGHTER!!! YOU CAN'T SELL ME LIKE THIS!!!" She began to cry. "I'M YOUR DAUGHTER!!!" Will looked at her, a slight look of guilt on his face, but he led his crew out of the cave all the same. Mark hadn't been still during all of this. He had been fighting the three pirates who were restraining him with every ounce of his might, and although he couldn't make any noises (they put a gag in his mouth), he still tried his hardest to break free. They eventually knocked him and unconscious and laid him down beside Jack, then exited the cave with Barbossa and Katherine.

When Jack awoke, Mark was sitting on a rock nearby crying. Jack rubbed his eyes, then the back of his sore head, and raised an eyebrow at Mark. "What in hell're ye cryin' about now?" Mark looked up at him furiously and stood. "They've taken Katherine! Barbossa took her away!" He said through gritted teeth and sobs. "AND LEFT US HERE WITHOUT A DAMNED SHIP!" Jack's eyes were wide and upset; he wasn't crying, obviously, but he was troubled. He pulled out his compass and looked at it for about 5 minutes, which were completely silent between the two. Jack finally put it up and Mark spoke, hoping to hear good news. "Well? What's it tell you?" Jack looked at him and frowned. "That it has absolutely no idea where we are."
Katherine @ 09:51 p.m. , Tuesday, August 5, 2003

Jack gritted his teeth and looked over at Katherine. He tilted his head in the direction the Pearl was, his intention to get her to see the ship. But she hadn't seen the ship and she hadn't even seen Jack's head motions. That didn't matter though, because she'd be finding out for herself in a couple minutes.

As they all walked, Jack looked back at the pirate who was pushing him along. He forced a smile and spoke kindly, "Y'know, I've always liked you." he said, he knew this crew member of Will's a tiny bit, and he was hoping that a miracle would happen and he'd get some help...but of course, the pirate just grunted and pushed Jack harder. After a short while longer, the cave was almost pitch black. Will's crew lit torches, though, which drowned out some of the darkness. And in a matter of minutes, there was Barbossa, waiting for them.

Barbossa grinned and laughed as Will walked up in front of his prisoners and crew. "Captain Barbossa," he greeted, smiling as well. Barbossa stopped laughing, but kept his smile on. "Yeh got the medallion and the girl?" he asked. Will started to nod, but remembered he didn't have the medallion yet. He turned around so he was facing Jack. "Jack, I believe you have something I need." he said as he walked up the captain. Jack forced a smile and said a bit uneasily, "Acutally, Will I -" he was cut off when he was hit in the head by the hilt of Will's sword and knocked out cold. Katherine tried to get loose to help him, but of course she couldn't.

Will rolled his eyes as he pulled out the medallion that Jack had stashed away in his sash. With the medallion in his possesion, he walked back up to Barbossa and showed him the medallion in his hand. But, before he handed it to him, "Our deal?" Will asked, raising a brow. Barbossa smiled and nodded, "Aye. You'll have your share in a bit. Now give me that medallion and hand over the girl."
Jack @ 10:07 p.m. , Tuesday, August 5, 2003

Katherine shook her head rather sadly. "The only way out is the window. And even if there weren't bars on it, it's entirely too small to even fit so much as our heads through." Jack nodded gravely. "Well..." He yawned. "I s'pose I'll see ye in the mornin', love. G'nigh." Katherine smiled a bit as Jack tried to bunch some hay up and make himself a 'bed'. He fell asleep pretty quickly, his mouth hanging open, sometimes singing in his sleep (Katherine found that Jack had a strange way of doing that). Katherine herself, however, couldn't seem to close her eyes. She felt tired as hell, but there was just no sleeping; it seemed impossible. But since she was up all night, she began getting a strange idea of how to escape in her head...one that might actually work.

She awoke Jack before the sun rose in the morning (she'd already woken up Mark), and then began telling him of her plan. He grinned when she finished. "Katherine, ye never cease to amaze me." Katherine smiled at him, and she and Jack made their way over to the skeleton in the opposite corner. Mark was spooked at touching any of the bones, but after remembering Jack making fun of him the night before for being a wimp, he dug in and the three got the sharpest looking bones they could find, then began to pry up pieces of board on the floor, underneath the hay. About an hour after starting, the three had gotten a space wide enough to jump through and get into the ship's hold below. Feeling very triumphant, they went one after the other, to find themselves not in the ship's hold...but in Will's cabin.

Will wasn't so much angry as he was amused; they had actually tried escaping?! But Will didn't give them another cell to stay in; he just had some of his crew take them into a dark cave on a tiny, tiny island. But before they went into the cave, Jack noticed that Will's ship wasn't the only one docked. The Black Pearl was there as well.
Katherine @ 07:31 p.m. , Tuesday, August 5, 2003

Jack sat down, leaning agaisnt the wall, grumbling to hiself. "You too, Mr. Sparrow..." he kept saying this over and over, trying to make his voice sound like Will's. Katherine payed no attention to Jack at the moment, instead she was trying to get Mark's wound on his back to stop bleeding. Jack stopped talking and smiled a little, "Kath'rine, he won't die. Yeh don't need teh worry." He looked at Mark, "And you need to toughen up, mate." Mark glared at him. "You'd be the same if you were the one with the cut on your back!" Jack just laughed and shrugged.

It was silent for a good long while. Mark still hadn't adjusted to the cell or the cut on his back, so he had his eyes shut tight as he hugged Katherine tightly. Jack had started singing to himself, as he tried to think of some brilliant plan to get out of the mess they were in. Mark had fallen asleep about an hour later, but Katherine and Jack remained wide awake.

Katherine gently layed Mark down, but his head still resting on her lap. She looked over at Jack, who was in the cell beside her. "Jack?" she asked quietly, not wanting to wake Mark. The captain stopped his singing and looked over at her. "Hm?" Katherine sighed a little, "My father...he...why do you think he's doing this?" Jack frowned. "Don't know, love." he paused and looked down at the hay-covered floor. "But we'll find out...um, I still got the medallion!" he said as his frown turned upside down slowly. "And I'm not givin' it to them. No matter what, I'm not giving it up." he said with confidence. There was silence between the two until Jack spoke up, his voice low, "...did you come up with anything? Anything to get us outta here?"

Britt - your idea sounds great! =D You forgot (like both of us usually do) that weird ideas are a good thing!! XD <3 Dun
Jack @ 07:22 p.m. , Tuesday, August 5, 2003

Will just scowled at Jack. "You're my prisoners, and I'll do no such thing. It's none of your business why I've spoken with Barbossa, either." Jack shrugged. "Suit yerself, mate." Jack suddenly flipped out his sword and shoved it into Will's leg; as much as he hated Will Turner right now, he didn't have the heart to kill him. At least not in front of his own daughter. Will yelped in pain as Jack took hold of Katherine's arm and began to run out of the cabin. Mark followed closely behind them as they sped through the ship. The three ran through the maze of corridors and cabins, looking desperately for the deck; it seemed the ship's passageways and staircases never ended. Jack could see the light of the deck as they made their way up a rather long staircase, but then he heard a shriek from behind him. Katherine had her hand over her mouth, screaming as she ran to Mark, who was a few feet away from her. He was lying face-first on the floor, a dagger stuck most of the way through his back. Several more feet away, Will was grinning, his leg bleeding rapidly.

Jack tried to pull Katherine away from Mark, but she wouldn't come. She wouldn't let go of Mark, whom she had her arms around tightly. Will stood triumphantly over the two of them. "I knew you would come around. Now, let me escort you to your..er...'cabin'." He looked up at Jack. "And you too, Mr.Sparrow." Will had never, ever, not in a million years called Jack 'Mr. Sparrow', and Jack found it rather offensive. Jack grudgingly followed Will and Katherine as one of the crew slung Mark over his shoulder and carried him to the small place the four were the be staying.

It was incredibly small; the dungeon of the ship, no doubt, as it had sturdy metal bars over the one porthole window, and just hay and old blankets on the floor. There was a skeleton lying in the far corner, which Katherine and Jack didn't take much notice of; they'd been in places where skeletons were piled so high you could just vomit and shit at the same time. But Mark, however, was quite freaked out; partially because of the skeleton, and partially because the pain in his back was so great that he felt he could die any moment at all.

Dunny, yay for Halloween costume fabric! =D I have an idea for the RP! It's kind of weird...all well ^^! I was thinking that Barbossa and Will could meet at some cove on an island, and Will could bring Katherine, Jack, and Mark. And Barbossa can reveal that he promised Will 80% of his treasure if Will would just hand over the medallion and Katherine. So Barbossa can be all happy that he got the medallion and the blood to break the curse but at the same time happy that he has Katherine to be his little...er...girlfriend or whatever XD. Retarded, yes, but just a thought =P Anyways, love you like a sister! Cheers! -Britter <3
Katherine @ 05:27 p.m. , Tuesday, August 5, 2003

"Mark!!!" Katherine gasped and immdiately kneeled down beside Mark. She looked up again, wanting to scream at her father, but it looked like Jack was about to do that for her. Jack was standing directly in front of Will, looking more furious then Katherine had ever seen him. Will was smiling, feeling proud of everything that he had said in the past ten minutes. "Jack, sit down." he said, pushing the captain a little. Jack just stepped right back up to where he was. "Listen teh me, mate. I've just about had it with you." Jack said with gritted teeth. Will was smiling, finding Jack amusing. Jack continued, "You're not teh lay a hand on Kath'rine or Mark...and yer going to tell me what you're doin' with Barboassa AND you're going teh let all three of us," he motioned to Mark, Katherine and himself, "Off yer ship... Savvy?" he finished, looking very serious.

Britt - Aww, sorry to hear about your 'friend'. =( I was gone all afternoon - I saw Spy Kids 3-D...stupid movie. The only thing I liked about it was Elijah Wood was in it...oh! And Floop is awesome. XD Also got some fabric stuff for my halloween costume. lol. Well, my post is short too - shorter then yours! I'll try to make a long one too sometime. :P Miss ya! <3 Dun
Jack @ 05:14 p.m. , Tuesday, August 5, 2003

Will frowned and yanked his sword out of Jack's chest. He polished it for a couple seconds with his shirt and then set it down on the table. "And why would I tell you any of that, Jack?" He sneered, but Jack merely grinned. "Because, mate. I'm Captain Jack Sparrow." Will rolled his eyes. "You think you're so high and mighty, don't you Jack? Thinking you're the best pirate in all the seven seas, sacking and pilaging and plundering whoever you like, kidnapping my daughter right out from under my nose-" Katherine interrupted, furious. "He didn't kidnap me! I'm 17 and I can go with whomever I want to! And you're such a bastard that obviously didn't want to go with you! I wish I'd never met you! I was fine when I just knew Jack!" Will's frown deepened and he gave Katherine a bit of a shove towards Mark. "You don't ever really want to be with Jack, Katherine. You wanted to be with him!" Will said Mark's name as though Mark was the worst scum ever to be on the earth. Mark stepped forward, puffed out his chest, and got ready to defend Katherine. "She already told you! She can make whatever decisions she wan-" Mark was silenced by a punch in the face from Will that knocked him dead onto the ground.

Dunny, sorry my post is short. I can do a longer one tonight- promise! I had my friend Lindsey over, the one who's been giving me so much trouble. I thought maybe we could like..be friends again. But we just had a boring time and she's changed waaaay too much. Not cool. Well, I have to go! Miss you! Love you like a sister! Cheers, Britter <3
Katherine @ 12:50 p.m. , Tuesday, August 5, 2003

Jack forced himself to get his look of shock off his face. Katherine had the medallion at the moment...he gave Will a goofy smile. "Wait a minute, mate." Will raised a brow as Jack took Katherine's arm and the two went back into the corner of the room. "Give me the medallion." he whispered to Katherine. She nodded slowly and handed him the mediallion. "Jack-" she started, but was cut off when the captain whispered something to her that she didn't get. Before she could question Jack, the two went back to the table were Will was waiting.

After a couple minutes Will spoke up, "Ready to give me the medallion?" he asked. Jack shook his head smiling. "No." he said quite simply. Will rolled his eyes, "Jack...give it to me...or I swear I will kill you." Jack kept his smile on, "Go ahead and try, mate." Will stood up, angry already. "Give it to me, Jack!" he said, drawing out his sword. Jack laughed. "Don' tell me that ye forgot!" Will ignored Jack and grabbed the collar of Jack's shirt, picking him up to his feet. "Give it to me." Will said, gritting this teeth. Jack rolled his eyes, "I already told ye that I ain't going to be givin' it to yeh." Will had already lost all his patience. "JACK!" he screamed. Jack rolled his eyes again, "Will, I know your not goin' teh kill any of us." he looked at Mark, and corrected himself, "Well...not me and Kath'rine anyway...I think..." Mark swallowed, looking a bit nervous. Will glared at Jack, and in a miute, Will had thrusted his sword into Jack's chest.

Jack sighed and titled his head, "So, you really did forget...I'm cursed, mate." he said, smiling, "...now why don't yeh tell me why you want it? And what in bloody hell are ye doin' talking teh Barbossa!?" Jack asked, very curiously as he sat back down next to Katherine.

Britt - okie dokie, I'll be gone for the rest of the day anyway. :P Um, sorry for the crappy post. ^^ I don't like this post, but all well. Um...hope you have fun w/your friend! <3 Dun
Jack @ 11:51 a.m. , Monday, August 4, 2003

Katherine gasped and yanked on Jack's shirt. His eyes were wide too. Now they were faced with a rather difficult decision: signal for help or try to stay away from Will Turner. Katherine looked at Jack. "Let's start a bonfire. NOW!" Jack nodded and the two ran off as fast as they could in the sand towards the trees. Jack took out his cutlass sword and began striking it as hard as possible against the trunk of one of the palm trees; after several minutes he started a fire. The tree went up in flames immediately, and then the other trees began to as well. Mark ran out of the camp to join them, and the all began to flail their arms towards Will's ship.

The ship began to pull closer to the island, and once as close as possible, let down a lifeboat with the captain himself aboard. Will slowly rowed towards the island and then stepped off into the sand and grinned when he saw who it was. "Well...I wondered when I would see you again." Katherine swallowed hard and took hold of Mark's hand, tightly squeezing it to make sure Will couldn't take her and leave Mark. Will inspected them all for a moment and then began tossing them into the large lifeboat. He made Jack row back to the ship, and once there, took them all to the kitchen where his crew was laying out a meal.

Will sighed and smiled as the three began to shovel down the feast like there was no tomorrow. "So. Barbossa informed me that you've taken to medallion, correct?" Katherine stopped eating and gulped; what? Barbossa? Will had spoken with Barbossa? Will continued to smile. "If you don't hand it over, I will have to kill you." Jack, Katherine, and Mark were all wide-eyed now. Katherine was in shock. Several months ago, her father was trying to protect her from everything in existence, and he was fighting the world back over it. And now he was threatening to kill her...

Dunny, I won't be able to post again until tomorrow afternoon. I'm having a friend over =P Thanks for the layout compliments! And great posts, too! Love you like a sister, Britter <3
Katherine @ 10:16 a.m. , Monday, August 4, 2003

Jack slowly stood up, and walked to the area of the tiny island where Katherine and Mark where shouting things back and forth like there was no tomorrow. Jack rolled his eyes and frowned a little, "They just ain't meant teh be..." he said to himself, but Mark started shouting that he loved Katherine, which made Jack think over what he said. "...Or maybe they just need some...guidance." he smirked a little and casually walked over to them.

Katherine hadn't noticed Jack, but Mark did. He glared at the captain. "What are you doing here?!" he snapped. Jack sighed, "I was jus' taking a walk." he replied quickly. He raised a brow at Mark and then looked over at Katherine. "May I have a word with yeh?" he asked Katherine. Mark was about to object - he still wanted to talk to Katherine, but Katherine immdiately agreed. She and Jack walked back down to he beach, silent for a good long while.

Finally, Jack spoke up. "D'you really want to be with 'im, love?" he questioned, and hoping that Katherine wouldn't get upset with him or anything. Katherine sighed, "I - I do...but he's just...he can be so - so-" she sighed again, getting even more frustrated. Jack grinned and said, "Wimpy?" He was about to list off a bunch of words that he thought described Mark quite well, but didn't do so.

Neither one said anything as the two walked along the seashore, the waves crashing gently against their feet. A minute later, Katherine burst into tears. "J-Jack...I don't know what t-to do...!!" Jack frowned a little. Now that he thought of it...what was he going to say to her? He didn't know anything about having a good relationship...how was he supposed to give good advice? So instead of saything anything, he and Katherine stopped walking and Jack hugged her. "...It'll be alright, Kath'rine, love." he said, trying to comfort her.

Katherine cried into his shirt for a good long while, and when the two pulled away, there was a ship...a VERY familiar ship near the island. Will Turner's ship.
Jack @ 09:40 p.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Katherine scowled at Mark, doubting he'd even so much as thought about Jack since he'd woken up that morning. Katherine marched off through the sand, shouting for Jack as she did so. Once almost completely around the small island, she found him lying on the sand, asleep. She rolled her eyes, knelt down beside him, and smacked his face to wake him up. The captain bolted upright in his sleep and rubbed his cheek. "What was that for?!" Katherine folded her arms. "I was worried sick about you! Why weren't you with Mark and I?!" Jack shrugged and rubbed the back of his neck as he stood up with Katherine. "Dunno...guess I jus' landed here. Haha. All well." He grinned and then put an arm around Katherine's shoulder and began tramping off through the sand, back towards where Mark was.

When they got there, he hadn't so much as gotten a hole in the coconut; but he had cut himself all over the hands trying. Mark stood straight up and dropped the coconut and knife both when Katherine and Jack got there. Jack laughed at Mark and started instructing him on how to cut open a coconut correcly, but Katherine just glared at Mark and walked off. Mark found her later leaning up against a palm tree in the middle of the island. She was braiding palm fronds together into a necklace or something, apparently just trying to amuse herself. She looked up when Mark came, but then just right back down at her project, wanting to ignore his presence. Mark frowned down at her. "Why are you acting this way, Katherine? One minute you'll let me kiss you all over and you'll sleep in the same bed as me, next minute you won't even look me in the eye!" Katherine swallowed hard and still said nothing.

Mark kneeled down beside her and roughly grabbed hold of her shoulders with his hands, shaking her a bit. "I love you, Katherine! I love you! And I want to be with you! I don't want you to do this to me!" Katherine smacked his hands off and shoved him backwards. "Well then maybe you should start being a little less greedy and wimpy and start actually trying to survive on your own! Without me, without Jack! That's what pirates have to do!" Mark shouted back at her. "I'M NOT A PIRATE!" Katherine retaliated. "YES YOU ARE! YOU WON'T ADMIT IT, BUT YOU ARE, MARK!" They continued to shout at each other as Jack heard them from where they were camped out and was curious as to what they were fighting about.
Katherine @ 07:11 p.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Mark frowned at Katherine and shurgged, looking a little careless. "Don't know." he said and jammed the knife into the coconut. Katherine glared at him a little. "Is that all you're going to say?!" she stood up, unbalanced a little at first, but she could quickly stand up straight. Mark looked up at her, and set down his knife. "Well...I don't know where Jack is and I don't know where we are..." Katherine glared at him again. "Did you even bother trying to find out where Jack was?!" she asked, getting worried about the captain. Mark nodded. "O-of course I did!"

Britt, sorry my posts are so short. ^^ I don't get much time though. Your last post was awesome btw!! <3 Dun
Jack @ 07:33 p.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Mark nodded and followed Jack's order. The two of them ran straight for the crew, rope in hand, and tripped the lot of them, afterwards stabbing the few that they got close to. Mark grabbed the sword off of one of them, and then he and Jack made their way towards Katherine's screams. Mark was about to barge into the cabin, but Jack held him back. Jack knocked on the door casually and then pulled out his sword. Barbossa answered it angrily, tired of being disturbed. Jack shoved the sword through his chest when he came to the door, but Barbossa just looked up at Jack confusedly and cackled. "Why, Jack, I thought ye were smarter than that." Barbossa yanked the sword out and threw it behind Jack. It hadn't hurt him the least bit. Of course it hadn't. Barbossa carried the curse as well; how could Jack have forgotten?

So instead Jack quickly began drawing the captain away from the entrance to the cabin. They began to do some swashbuckling, swinging their swords at each other in a battle that could go on for eternity, as neither would ever die. While Jack kept Barbossa preoccupied, Mark made his way into the cabin. He ran over to Katherine and untied her, then began to pick her up, but she shoved him and scowled. "I don't need to be carried!" Mark looked a bit taken aback but nodded all the same; he had just been trying to do the heroic thing and 'save the damsel in distress'. Katherine picked up a sword (Barbossa had several in his cabin), and then took Mark's hand and made her way out the door.

Jack and Barbossa were, obviously, still at it. Jack shouted at Katherine as he fought. "Get the medallion from the blasted monkey, Katherine!!" Katherine looked around in the moonlight as skeletons dueled on the deck of the ship and finally spotted Jack the Monkey, whose tail she grabbed. He screeched and fell, then she took the medallion out of his hands and tossed it to Mark. She kept a tight hold on the monkey, not wanting it to go after the medallion again. Just as she was taking a couple seconds to catch her breath, Katherine found herself being tossed off the ship, along with Mark, and Jack was soon to follow.

Katherine fluttered her eyes open to find herself underneath the shade of several palm trees, sand surrounding her. Mark was sitting up against a nearby tree attempting to cut open a coconut with the knife Jack had given him. Jack was no where to be seen. Katherine sat up straight and coughed some water out of her throat as the sun rose over the small island they were on. "What happened...?" Mark looked over and smiled at seeing her awake. "Katherine...thank God you're alright..." He kissed her hands and forehead, but she continued to question him. "Where's Jack? And the ship? Where ARE we?!"
Katherine @ 05:54 p.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Mark's eyes widened as wide as the possibly could get. "J-jack! We gotta help her!" he screamed, turning to the captain. Jack was getting all his things together - his compass, sword, pistol (even though he had no shots in it at the moment) and he threw on his jacket and hat as well. Mark glared at Jack, seeing as how the captain was so calm. "HURRY UP!" he snapped. Mark wanted to leave without Jack, but he knew he wouldn't last long without him. Jack rolled his eyes again and once he was ready he pulled out his sword. He turned to Mark, "Eh, you get teh use this, mate." he said, handing him his knife. Mark raised a brow. "Isn't there a sword somewhere I could use...?" Jack grinned. "Jus' take one from one of them bloody pirates out there." Before Mark could say a word, Katherine screams grew louder, so Jack and Mark made their way to the door.

But just as they got there, Jack stopped when he spotted a rope in the corner of the room. He grinned again and picked up. "We'll be usin' this instead." he said and tossed one end to Mark and put his sword away. Mark raised a brow. "A rope?" Jack nodded, "Aye!" and with that the captain opened the door. And of course, there was Barbossa's crew up on the deck. Jack ran out first, with an excited look on his face. "Follow me, mate!" he cried out to Mark.
Jack @ 06:25 p.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Mark was panting, sweat running down his already bloody face. "Where is she?! WHAT'D YOU DO WITH HER?!" He stood, walked over, and grabbed the collar of Jack's shirt. Jack scowled. "And how in hell would I 'ave done anything to her bein tied to a pole in the storage hold?" Mark shrank back. "Oh...sorry..." He laughed nervously. Jack just rolled his eyes. "Katherine could do much better than you, mate. Now go get me my knife." Mark folded his arms, completely ignoring Jack's second remark. "Whaddaya mean she could do better than me?" Jack shrugged a bit and grinned. "Yer a bit too touchy about things, mate. And a bit o' a wimp as well. Katherine needs a pirate boy." Mark rolled his eyes. "Pirates are disgusting..." Jack just laughed. "Open yer eyes, mate! Ye are one!" Mark scowled. "Don't say that! Never again!" He walked over and got Jack's knife then cut him free. At about the same time they heard a scream from the cabin above them.

Katherine, meanwhile, was screaming in the cabin above Mark and Jack, but she didn't see how it would do her any good. She'd been cleaned up completely, and she awoke lying on Barbossa's bed with nothing but a corset and knickers on. She was tied to the bedpost by her wrist. Barbossa was nowhere in sight, not yet at least. She continued to scream and tried to jerk herself free. She felt as though she would rather die than be in bed with Captain Barbossa for even one second. "JACK! MARK! SOMEONE! PLEASE!!!!!" And at the same time, Barbossa walked in the door, grinning at the frightened-to-death Katherine. "Now, Kath'rine, is it? Ye might want to be a bit quieter. Screamin' is no way for a lady to behave." She started screaming more loudly as he approached her.
Katherine @ 01:57 p.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Barbossa and Smithy (with Katherine, of course) all walked out of the door, leaving Jack and Mark alone. Jack gritted his teeth and started to pull his wrists free from the rope, but it was no use. The ropes were tied good and tight. He sighed, frustrated, and relaxed his arms for a while to have a look around the room. His things were across the room, hanging on the wall. He had to get to them somehow...but the captain was all out of ideas, surprisngly. The only thing he could think of was to make a deal with Barbossa - but would he really be that thick? Barbossa probably didn't trust Jack even the slightest bit. Jack sighed again, what the hell was he supposed to do?!

Thirty or so minutes later, Mark woke up slowly. When the boy could sit up straight and see clearly he immdiately blurted out, "KATHERINE!?" Jack rolled his eyes and looked over at Mark. "She ain't here, mate."
Jack @ 01:44 p.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Katherine looked at Jack confusedly but nodded all the same, then ran to one of the mainbraces of the ship and began tugging on the ropes to roll down the sails. Mark did the same, just on the opposite side of the ship. Jack took to the wheel and began trying to steer away from the Black Pearl's lookalike ship. But the Conquistador wouldn't budge. Not even a few feet. It stayed stationary, because Jack forgot to go pull up the anchor. And by the time he remembered he needed to go below deck and do so, the Black Pearl's lookalike was right next to them, and filthy pirates from the ship began climbing onto the Conquistador. Jack pulled out his sword and wasn't sure whether to grin (he hadn't had a true fight in ages) or to frown (this could mean big trouble for himself, Mark, and Katherine). Just as he was about to take up duel with another pirate, Jack felt a harsh ping on the back of his head, and he fell over unconscious.

When Jack awoke, his hands were tied to a pole below deck, and he was sitting in a rather fancy chair. He looked around the room dazedly, and he saw Katherine lying on the floor beside Mark a few feet in front of him, just out of his feet's reach. They were both bloodied a bit on the face, and Katherine had a large slash mark down her back, still bleeding freshly as she lie unconscious on the wooden floor. Mark's hands were more cut up than anything, but he still looked to be in bad shape, knocked out cold as well. As Jack gazed at Katherine, trying to figure out how he could help her (she was going to bleed to death if he didn't), he heard the door of the cabin slam and a man walked in. "Well Jack, ye always seem to get out o' trouble more easily than ye should." Jack grinned up at the man. It was Captain Barbossa. "Yes, well, I'm Captain Jack Sparrow, mate." Barbossa laughed as Jack the Monkey crawled down off of his shoulder and began to poke at Katherine. "So Jack, what were ye doin' with Will Turner's daughter aboard yer ship?" Jack felt as though he could spit at Barbossa. "As if it's any of your business." Jack looked rather confused. "But if you're goin' to hold me cap'ive, mate, then I do wants to know one thing." Barbossa raised an eyebrow. "And what would that be?" Jack narrowed his eyes. "How is it possible for ye to be alive?" Barbossa cackled. "No time for explanations now. Smithy!" Barbossa shouted out the door, and one of his men came running in as the captain gave him orders. "Take this girl up teh me cabin. Clean 'er up. She's a beaut, really. I'll enjoy 'er tonight." Barbossa grinned at Jack as Smithy slung Katherine over his shoulder and the two walked out the door.
Katherine @ 11:17 a.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Mark raised a brow and sat up straight - the ship looked awfully familiar. He thought for a bit and then he knew where he'd seen the ship. It was the ship Jack had wanted - the one that looked like the Black Pearl! He got out of bed, deciding he'd better tell the captain that there was a ship nearby.

In a few minutes Jack was wide awake, as was Katherine. The three walked up the deck - Jack and Mark turning back into the skeleton forms (which Katherine still wasn't quite used to yet). But luckily, the moon was covered from the clouds and they returned to normal.

Jack took a good look at the ship, he had been excited about this - but now his attitude towards it changed. Katherine noticed this of course, "Jack? Jack what's wrong?" Jack turned towards her sharply and pushed her away from the edge of the boat. "Katherine, love, I think it'd be best if we got out of 'ere..." he said, looking a little nervous.
Jack @ 10:53 a.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Mark flushed rather red. "I know..." He wiped a few tears away and then looked back up at Katherine, embarassed because of what he had done. Katherine just smiled a little. "But we'll find a way around this...I promise. And I still love you, you know?" Mark smiled the slightest bit and nodded. "I love you too." Katherine stood, walked over to the closet/cabinet in the room and grabbed an old towel. She tossed it over to Mark, who stood and wrapped it around himself, then got into his normal baggy shirt and pants. He walked over to Katherine and kissed her for the longest time, and then pulled away, still feeling rather embarassed thinking about when he took the medallion. Katherine bit her bottom lip and then picked up the blankets she had been holding. She looked down at her feet and mumbled. "Well...better get back to Jack's cabin..." And she walked out the door without another word.

Mark was disappointed, of course. He just stumbled into his own bed sighed heavily, rubbing his face with his hands. The kiss he had just experienced haunted him deeply. He had felt her lips to his, but he couldn't really feel it. He felt it physically, but it did nothing for him emotionally; he didn't tingle with delight as he always had before. Mark swallowed hard. He hated it. He hated kissing Katherine now. The only thing it did was make him feel empty. He felt the warmth of her body, but not her love. He began to cry again, and only several moments later did he look out his window to see a large ship approaching the Conquistador.
Katherine @ 09:37 a.m. , Sunday, August 3, 2003

Katherine blushed a little when she first saw Mark, but she quickly avoided eye contact with him. He frowned as she walked past him and grabbed some blankets and then walked right past him again. Just as she was about to leave though, she turned back around so she was facing Mark again. He looked down at the water in the tub and sniffed a little, "I'm sorry..."

Katherine sighed a little bit and dropped the blankets to the floor. She walked over to him, then sat down next to the tub, frowning even more. "Mark...it's - it's alright...I guess...I mean...you just...you really should have listened to Jack." she started, a little bit uncertin of what to say.

Britt! Hiya! <3 <3 Hope my post was alright. ^^ I wasn't quite sure what Katherine should have done.
I miss you too! And your new sites are awesome!! I'll have to join once I get back. ^_~ I saw your new lay too! Love it! And, I'm glad you like my new layout! Haha, Johnny Depp is VERY hot! Ah, well I'm getting tired, I'll post tomorrow! <3 Dun

Jack @ 11:46 p.m. , Saturday, August 2, 2003

Katherine nodded earnestly. "It's not like we don't have time." Jack grinned at her eagerness. "Alright then, it all started a long time ago..." And Jack set into the long and chilling tale of the Curse of the Black Pearl. By the end, Katherine was in complete shock at what she'd heard, but she smiled all the same. "Well...all you need is my blood, right? So...so we just have to find the medallion, and it will be perfect...the curse will be gone again...right...?" She laughed nervously, but Jack frowned. "It ain't that easy, love. Fer one, yer father's still probably lookin' for us, and secondly, the curse is back, and that means Barbossa is as well." Katherine's eyes widened. "You mean the old captain of the Black Pearl?!" Jack scowled. "He never actually WAS the real captain, you know..." Katherine corrected herself. "Well then, the old first mate of the Black Pearl?!" Jack nodded this time and sighed heavily. "We should have our share o' problems in the future, love. We gotta find a crew. There ain't no question 'bout it." Katherine nodded as he spoke, and then there was a short silence. She spoke up again, almost completely changing the subject. "Jack?" He looked up at her. "Hm?" She frowned and bit her bottom lip. "Why don't you think Mark listened to you?" Jack grinned, surprisingly. "Aye, love, he's a pirate, he is. Greedy, obsessed with treasure. He wanted to medallion. And he loves you as well." Jack motioned to the necklace of Katherine's that was now lying on top of a small table in Jack's cabin. Jack continued. "He may want to keep denyin' it, but he's a pirate, that one. No question about it. You go to sleep now. Yeh need it."

Katherine couldn't sleep for anything, though. She just layed there and stared at the ceiling, freezing. She needed another blanket...but all of the bedding was in her and Mark's cabin. She sighed, hoped for the best, and made her way to the cabin as she shivered like mad. She put her ear to the door and heard Mark talking to himself about how he shouldn't have taken the medallion because Katherine was going to hate him forever, and from what Katherine could hear, he was crying as well. She silently opened the door to find Mark there in the large metal tub the whole ship shared to take baths. He looked up at her in utter surprise; he wasn't wearing anything as he washed his back.

Dunny, I miss you so much already! Hope you're having a good time =D I got a new layout up on my site, and then I got two new cliques up! One is called Aargh! Katherine @ 09:21 p.m. , Saturday, August 2, 2003

Jack went to his room, slowly and when he got there, Katherine came in a few minutes later, already in her nightgown. Jack decided that he'd let her sleep in his bed for the night, and layed out some blankets on the floor for him to sleep on. When they were both situated, it was completly silent. Katherine had hundreds of questions she wanted to ask Jack, but she refrained herself from asking them for some reason.

Until Jack finally broke the silence though. "...Katherine, love?" he asked to get her attention. Katherine looked down at Jack and proped herself up on one of her elbows, showing Jack had her attention. The captain sighed, "I...erm, yeh got teh promise me you'll stay with me, alright?" Katherine raised a brow. "Alright...but I was planning on doing that anyway, Jack." Jack smiled a little and Katherine asked one of her questions. "How did you get cursed anyway, Jack?" Jack frowned a little. "I eh...well, it's a pretty long story, you sure yeh want to hear it?"
Jack @ 09:31 p.m. , Saturday, August 2, 2003

Katherine was nearly in tears, breathing heavily. Jack looked to Katherine's neck and ripped off the necklace, then gazed at it for a moment. He turned back to Mark. "That's how ye got this, ain't it?" Mark swallowed hard and nodded a little. Katherine looked at Mark, nearly glaring, just as Jack was. "What? What's he talking about Mark?" Mark just shoved his hands in his pockets, as was normal for him when he was upset or nervous, and looked down at his feet. Jack spoke up. "I don't care how much ye hate pirates, yeh listen to yer captain when he tells yeh somethin', mate." Mark nodded a bit, and then Jack sighed. "It's late...we'll figure all this out in the mornin. Night you two." He began to walk away, but Katherine stopped him and grabbed hold of his arm. "I...er...I want to sleep in your room Jack." Mark looked stunned. "What?! Why?! He's got the same thing as me!" Katherine didn't make eye contact with Mark; she just looked at Jack. "I'll go get my nightgown..." Katherine left as Mark glared at Jack, but Jack just walked away as well, pissed that Mark hadn't listened.
Katherine @ 10:07 a.m. , Friday, August 1, 2003

Jack who had just fallen asleep only a couple minutes ago, groaned and rolled out of bed, then ran up to the deck as fast as he could. But before he ran over to Katherine he noticed something...it wasn't Mark (he hadn't seen him), it was him. He was a skeleton?! That meant thee curse had come back...?! Jack looked away from his hands to Mark and Katherine. Mark was standing there looking at his hands and body, wondering why the hell he looked the way he did, and Katherine was screaming bloody murder. The captain ran up to the two, grabbed Katherine's hand and pulled her below deck before she could see him. Mark followed of course.

When the three of them were covered from the moonlight, Jack and Mark turned back to normal and Katherine immdiately turned to Jack. "J-Jack!! Wha...did you see Mark?! ...What happened to h-him?!" Jack answered very simply, "I was tellin' ye the truth about them medallions." He was facing Mark when he said it, glaring at him a little.

Britt > Ahh!! I didn't get to finish! >.< lol. All well! It's good enough. I'll post tomorrow - we have to stay at a hotel tonight. :P <3 Dun
Jack @ 06:31 a.m. , Friday, August 1, 2003

Katherine looked at Mark confusedly as he shoved a medallion inside of his pocket anyway. She walked over to him and whispered hoarsely into his ear. "Jack said not to mess with those!" Mark rolled his eyes. "Jack doesn't know what he's talking about." Katherine looked fearful but didn't say anything else, just bit her nails a bit. A few minutes later, the party left and boarded the ship again.

It took them three days to reach the next port; a pirate's port. Mark easily traded the medallion for a beautiful pair of diamond earrings and a matching diamond necklace. He didn't even think twice before getting rid of it, but the man he traded with looked at him like he was crazy for wanting to trade the valuable Aztec gold. Mark wrapped the jewelry in some pretty cloth he found, then grinned and began to take everything back to the ship. He shoved it into his pocket when he passed Jack onto the boat, and went to find Katherine as the sun began to set.

Mark and Katherine sat up on the deck for the longest time, just talking about all kinds of things. Mark grinned about 20 minutes into the conversation and pulled the bundle of satin cloth out of his pocket. "Katherine...I..er...got this for you..." Katherine looked at him confusedly and unwrapped the bundle. She gasped as her eyes widened. "Oh, Mark...these are beautiful..." She was in awe as Mark helped her fasten the necklace around her neck. Katherine put the earrings in her ears and then leaned forward and suddenly kissed Mark. They kissed for a long, long time until the clouds began to clear in the night, and the moon shone onto the deck.

Mark felt strange. He felt Katherine's kiss, but instead of feeling amazed and impassioned...he felt rather false, like he wanted more than that, and just the kiss wasn't satisfying him. When Katherine pulled away and opened her eyes, she let out a blood-curdling scream that awoke Jack from below the deck.

Dunny, I didn't know you were going to go to your grandpa's! I'm gonna miss you =( But I hope you have fun =D And I hope you can still post! I'll leave little messages like this at the end of posts just to see how you are and shit =D Love ya like a sister, Britter <3

Dûnhir @ 07:16 p.m. , Thursday, July 31, 2003

Jack had run straight to a spot in the cave were the moon light shined down. Luckily, neither Katherine nor Mark saw him - his hand was the only thing that had changed anyway. But, just to be safe, he went around the spots were the moonlight was shining. When he reached Mark, he tackled the boy and snacthed the mediallion away from him. "Don't ever take any one of these medallions outta here, got it, mate?!" he said sternly and placed the medallion back inside the chest.

All this caught Katherine's attention, so she walked over to them both and spoke up to Jack, "Jack...what's wrong?" she asked. Jack sighed and sat down looking a bit stressed. "Those medallions...they're cursed..." he said looking at the chest darkly. "And if ye take one out...then-" he shook his head, not wanting to tell them. "Nevermind. Just listen teh me." he said and stood up. "Just don't touch anything in that chest!" He sighed and started to walk away, "We'll be leavin' in ten minutes..." He finished and walked off to collect up the rest of the treasure he wanted.
Jack @ 11:22 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

Katherine grinned as Mark looked at her nervously. "We're...we're stealing gold?!" Katherine shook her head. "No..you have it all wrong, hun." She smiled and kissed his neck. "We're pilaging, and we call it treasure." Mark folds his arms, uncomfortable about actually doing this. Jack staggers by him grinning. "Yer a pirate now, mate." Mark scowls. "No I'm not...and I never will be!" But Mark knew if he was staying with Katherine, he may as well give himself a swashbuckling nickname and buy an eyepatch and a sword. He rolled his eyes and followed Katherine below deck to get her sword and pistol ready.

Mark and Katherine were surprised, however, to find that they weren't stealing from anywhere. They were just going to collect some treasure from a cave and then be on their way. Mark and Katherine looked around in awe. There were gold and jewels of every sort piled high everywhere. Katherine ran over to a pile of jewelry, shoving all she could into her bra (she had no where else to put it XD), and Jack found himself sorting through all kinds of statues and such. Mark felt a bit out of place until he spotted a large chest made of gold. He made his way to it and found it was filled with large gold pieces of medallion. His eyes widened. I could sell these...and get something for Katherine! She would forgive me...and things would be okay again. He reached in to grab a handful, and Jack turned his head just as Mark was about to. Jack's eyes widened in surprise as he tossed aside the treasures he was holding. "MARK! STOPP IT! MATE!" He began to run towards Mark, but he was too late. Mark was flipping a coin in between his fingers, smiling at the gold in his hand.
Katherine @ 09:44 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

Jack raised a brow and made a face at Mark. It was silent between all the three of them for a long while. But then Jack shifted his attention to Katherine and smiled at her. "Yeh know what?" he asked. Katherine raised a brow and Jack spoke again, "This reminds me o' the time yer Mum fainted...and it was all because of one of those bloody corsets!" he laughed as he stood up and helped Katherine up. Mark stood up straight as well.

Katherine looked at Jack, "Wh-what...my mother?" Jack nodded. "Aye, I swear those things-" he was cut off when Mark shot over to Katherine and hugged her. "I'm so sorry, Katherine." Mark said and repeated this many, many times. Katherine gently pushed Mark away and smiled a little. "It-it's alright...just don't ever let me see one of those corsets again." she said and Mark nodded his head violently. Jack interrupted the couple. "'Scuse me, but I guess I should be tellin' the both of ye that we'll be making a stop sooner then I planned." he said, looking a bit excited. Mark and Katherine both looked up at Jack and at the same time questioned him, "What?"

Jack grinned. "We'll be gettin' ourselves a bit o' gold then settin' off again...that's all." He paused and looked out at the ocean. "And by the looks of it, we'll be there by nightfall!" he said even more excited.
Jack @ 10:32 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

Katherine continued to cough like mad, but she nodded her head all the same. Jack frowned, still confused. "What in hell's name were ye doin' with one these on?!" He held up the corset in front of her and then threw it overboard. Katherine looked from Mark to Jack. Mark was now crying, not saying anything though. He felt horrible. What was wrong with him? He just wanted her to wear a damn corset; how idiotic could he get? Jack looked up at Mark, then back at Katherine, then at Mark yet again. "What's goin' on?" Mark stuttered. "I..er...I wanted her to wear it..."
Katherine @ 09:11 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

Mark looked around and then down, over the ship. It was obvious that Katherine had fallen overboard. His eyes widened, "KATHERINE!!!" Mark started panicking like mad. And, because he didn't know how to swim, he couldn't go down and get her; he'd end up drowning as well. Mark, thinking of nothing but Katherine, had forgotten that Jack was onboard as well. He screamed out for Katherine again, and seconds later, Jack was up on deck skipping around, still extremley happy he had Katherine back with him.

Mark turned on his heel and ran over to Jack, knocking into the pirate, nearly knocking him down. Jack laughed as the two caught their balance. Mark immdiately shouted, "K-KATHERINE FELL OVERBOARD!!" Jack laughed again, "You're forgettin something, mate...she can swim." Mark grabbed Jack's wrist and yanked him over to where he and Katherine had been. "B-but she hasn't come up!! She fainted!" Jack still looked confused (why had Katherine fainted?), he sighed and pulled off his jacket and hat and handed them to Mark. Then, stepped up and dove down into the ocean. Mark dropped Jack's things and looked down with a pale face.

Only minutes later, Jack had Katherine were up. "Throw a rope down, mate!" Jack shouted up at Mark. Mark did so immdiately and Jack managed to get him and Katherine back up on the ship.

Jack gently layed Katherine down on the deck. Mark, of course, immdiately went to her side. He put his ear to her chest. "S-she's not breathing!!" he said, nearly in tears. Jack rolled his eyes and pulled out his dagger. Mark raised his eyebrows and before he could as what Jack was doing, the captain had sliced the front of Katherine's corset down the middle and pulled it off. Mark stared at Jack blankly. "I never would have thought of that..." Jack laughed and just as he was about to reply, Katherine woke up and started coughing out water like mad. "You alright, love?" Jack asked, giving her some harsh pats on the back.
Jack @ 09:34 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

When Katherine was going through her very few outfits to find something to wear, Mark, who was red in the face, pulled the corset and dress out of his bag and meekly approached her. "Erm...Katherine...?" She turned to him and her eyes widened at the dress and corset. She shook her head violently before he could even speak. "No WAY. I'm not wearing those, not on your life!" Mark sighed. "But...you look so nice...and-" Katherine cut him off. "Do you find women who can't breathe and look like they're 500 pounds due to their large dresses sexy?" Mark flushed an even deeper shade of red, not speaking at all. Katherine groaned and snatched the dress and corset from him, then went into the other room to put them on, muttering to herself all the while. While she changed, Mark thought to himself how he had no idea why he wanted Katherine to wear traditional clothing...it just kind of seemed natural to him; he'd never seen a woman wear baggy pants and too-large white button up shirts. And he never dreamed he would. But then he'd met Katherine.

The two walked up on deck to talk a bit and pass time, Katherine fanning herself with her hand all the while and trying to catch some breath. She found it extremely embarasing that she was being suffocated by an article of clothing. About ten minutes into the conversation, Mark took a step forward as he looked out to the other side of the ship, leaving Katherine behind him. He spoke to her from a foot or so ahead until he heard a loud splash. Mark raised an eyebrow then turned around to find Katherine not there.
Katherine @ 12:44 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

When Mark got to the docks, Jack and Katherine were standing there in a shady spot waiting for him. He walked up to them, smiling a little. Jack returned Mark's smile with a grin. "Glad we're leavin' - an' all together too!" he said, obviously extremley happy to have Katherine back with him. Jack continued, "I left my ship in the back o' the island...was going to get myself a boat and leave her there..." he said referring to the Conquistador. His face lit up even more. "But now that I got you two back I can keep 'er afterall!" He turned on his heel and started to walk away, "Well, c'mon! Follow me!" he said and started walking even faster.

They got to the Conquistador fairly quickly and boarded the ship. After they had gotten out of Port Royale, Mark and Katherine both went down below the deck to put all their things back. And, Katherine wanted to get dressed into something different (all she had on was the plain looking dress, which she didn't like all that much).
Jack @ 01:13 p.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

Katherine, who didn't want to anger Mark anymore than he already was, went over and pulled Jack away, then shoved him out the door. Katherine whispered to Mark. "Meet us at the docks." Mark nodded reluctantly as Katherine followed Jack out the door, and before he could apologize to his master and parents, his master stepped forward and began yelling at Mark. "MARK SMITH! WHAT IN GOD'S NAME WERE YOU THINKING?! BRINGING A PIRATE HERE! NOT ONE, BUT TWO! THEY SHOULD BE HANGED! AND YOU'VE NO BUSINESS EVER COMING BACK TO PORT ROYALE, LET ALONE TO MY HOME! I WILL HAVE YOU HANGED IF I SEE YOUR FACE HERE AGAIN! LEAVE NOW!" He stiffly pointed his finger out the door, his face red and flustered. Mark swallowed hard and started to speak, but was interrupted by his mother. "Leave Mark. Go away." She was crying her eyes out, thinking her son had finally found a nice girl to settle down with and marry. And she was a pirate. A pirate.

Mark shoved his hands in his pockets and made his way upstairs, muttering quietly. "I'll just...just get my things..." He knew good and well he didn't have but two outfits and a hat, but he figured he may as well take them, because he didn't know how long he would be on the ship before getting to a new port. He shoved them into a coarse-knit potato sack, and then spotted the dress and corset. Maybe...even though she was a pirate...Katherine would give them another chance? He shrugged, picked them up, and shoved them into his sack as well, then climbed out the window, wanting to avoid his parents and master. Mark headed off for the dock, feeling more free than he ever had in his life.
Katherine @ 09:20 a.m. , Wednesday, July 30, 2003

Katherine smiled a little and hugged him tightly. She kissed him again. "I love you too." she said and the two kissed for a very long time. While they were still kissing, their romantic moment was interrupted. There was a shriek from down the hall and then Jack could be heard, laughing like mad. Mark's eyes widened. "...H-he's here?!" he asked, referring to Jack. Katherine nodded, grinning. Mark gasped and jumped up. "W-why?! Why's he still in Port Royale?! And why'd you bring him here?!" he asked frantically. Katherine giggled. "Don't you think your parents should meet him? I mean, Jack's the one who took care of me...he's practically my father!" Mark shook his head. "No, I don't actually!" he said and grabbed Katherine's arm and the two ran to where Jack was. The pirate was indeed there, standing by Mark's master and wife, who were huddled in the corner of the room, scared to death of the Captain Jack Sparrow.
Jack @ 10:42 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Mark's father nearly fainted as well. "J-Jack Sparrow?!" Jack nodded and stuck out his hand. "Nice teh meet yeh, mate!" The man took a step backwards and then ran across the room to his wife to revive her. Katherine and Jack laughed, grinned, and made their way upstairs. While Jack went to find Mark's master and his master's wife, Katherine went into Mark's room. He was sitting on the bed, crying into his hands. Katherine frowned and stepped forward, then kneeled down in front of him so they were eye to eye. She took his hands from his face, then kissed him, and held his head close to her chest. He had his arms around her, in complete shock she had come back. He pulled his head away and then looked at her, his eyes puffy and red. "K-Katherine...we don't have to stay here...I swear...I love you...I love you so much...I'll go wherever you go..."
Katherine @ 09:28 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Mark's mother answered the door. She opened it, smiling warmly, and Jack was smiling as well. "...hi." he said and gave her a toothy smile, his gold teeth glimmering in the sunlight. When the mother got a good look at him, she fainted. Jack raised a brow and glanced at Katherine, who was giggling. He and Katherine stepped over Mark's mum and went inside anyways. Everyone was upstairs, probably getting ready for the day, so Jack and Katherine stood in another room and waited.

Mark's father had come down first, he was walking to the kitchen, but stopped when he noticed Katherine. "O-oh...your'e b-back." he said and forced a smile. Katherine smiled back as well and then Jack, who was standing behind her, grinned again and stepped forwards to introduce himself. "Cap'n Jack Sparrow...and you're name, mate?" he asked. Katherine was smiling just a wide a smile as Jack was. She was loving every moment of this, just as Jack was.
Jack @ 10:15 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Katherine's eyes widened. "What? What do you mean?" Jack continued to grin at her as he tossed her a sword. "Your daddy. This is where 'e made all 'is metals and things. When ye were a baby, he worked like hell in 'ere. Yer parents needed money real bad. He loved you more than anythin, you know." When he looked back at Katherine, she was sobbing even more than she had been. "He was right about Mark...he was right..."

Jack frowned, then went and sat down beside Katherine. "Ye know love, I just don't think you an' Mark are much the same. He's used to the idea of workin' and gettin' married an' having kids and all that for the rest o' his life, you know. And you aren't. Yer a pirate." He grinned and then wiped some of her tears away. "Let's go back and find ol' Mark." She took her hand and helped her up, then they went out the door and back to Mark's house. Jack knocked on the front door, grinning, waiting for someone to answer.
Katherine @ 09:04 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Katherine burst out of the house and searched for somewhere to go where Mark wouldn't find her. She spotted something that looked to be abandoned and walked in. It was the Blacksmith's shop. The one her father used to work at, but she of course, didn't know that. She shut the door behind her and slowly looked around, then sunk down to the floor and buried her face into her hands.

Only a minute later though, there was a crack. She jumped, thinking it was Mark, who she didn't want to see one tiny bit at the moment. Katherine looked around, but saw no one, so she stood up and walked towards where the sound had come from...and there he was, "J-Jack...?!" Katherine stutterted.

The captain turned around and grinned, "Katherine!!" he ran over to her and threw his arms around her. When he pulled away Katherine looked up at him. "W-what are you doing here?!" she asked and couldn't help but smile. Jack sighed. "Well..I couldn't really handle the ship by myself all too well...and Port Royale isn't really near anywhere where I could find myself a crew...so I came back here...to get a boat instead...cause' see, I'm going to go after that ship...the one that looks like the Pearl!" He looked down at the ground and added, "And I, eh, wanted to say g'bye to yeh." he looked back up and walked around a bit.

"D'you know where you are, love?" he asked Katherine as he examined an old, rusty sword. Katherine shrugged. "Some old blacksmith shop." Jack nodded and smiled. "Yeah...this was were your Daddy used to work." he laughed a little, remebering how he and Will met.
Jack @ 09:38 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Katherine scowled at Mark. "Well if you're that ashamed of me, then fine!" She ripped off her dress, then ripped her corset open and threw them both on the floor so that she was just in her plain cream-colored dress (like Elizabeth wore in the movie). She took her hair down so it was like she normally wore it. "It's not my problem if you hate me like I am!" She turned on her heel, crying, and burst through the kitchen (where everyone was eating), then out the door.
Katherine @ 08:38 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Mark's father nearly choked on his food. "Jack Sparrow...?!" Katherine nodded, ignoring everyone's surprised reactions. Mark's mother swallowed. "...you aren't a pirate, dear, are you?" Katherine set down the food she was eating and smiled. "Of course I'm a pirate!" she said, sounding even more proud and completley forgetting who she was talking to. Mark's eyes widened and he looked to his mother to his father. "E-excuse us for a moment." he said and stood up, grabbing Katherine's arm and pulling her up on her feet.

He dragged her out of the kitchen. "What are you thinking, Katherine?!" he asked quietly. Katherine smiled. "I'm just telling them the truth." she said. "Katherine!" he snapped. Katherine slowly started to frown. "Are you embarrassed of me or something?" Mark shook his head. "N-no...no...I just...you can't tell anyone here you're a-a pirate! And you most definately cannot tell them you know Jack Sparrow!"
Jack @ 09:29 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Everyone turned their heads over to Katherine, who was for the first time since she was three dressed in a tight corset and huge peach-flowered gown, her hair curly and up. She started giggling, food still in her mouth. Mark swallowed hard as his mother looked over at him. He cleared his throat and then gave Katherine's foot a kick from underneath the table. After a moment of silence (besides Katherine's now-silencing giggles), Mark's mother spoke up. "So...Mark, darling, where did you meet this...nice...young lady?" Mark cleared his throat again. He had no idea what to tell them. Katherine, who was eating like hell and shoving food down (she hadn't eaten this well in years), answered, her mouth full of chicken. "Oh! Well, we found Mark on an island after his ship wrecked." Mark's father raised an eyebrow. "Who's 'we'?" Katherine swallowed and then ate some grapes. "Myself and my captain, Jack Sparrow. He's really an excellent pirate. He taught me everything I know!" She said proudly.
Katherine @ 08:20 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Mark started to put his arms around her but Katherine stopped him from doing so. He sighed and sat up straight. "Katherine, stop crying. You'll like it here more then-" Katherine cut him off. She sat up straight as well and glared at him. "I w-won't like here! I don't even w-want t-to be here, M-Mark! The only reason I-I d-did it was for y-you..." Mark nodded a little. "I know..." he said quietly, "But, just give me a chance...please Katherine?" Katherine didn't say anything. She layed back down, her back facing Mark and pretended to fall asleep. Mark sighed and layed down as well, blowing out the latern that was lit beside him on the nightstand. Then he quickly fell asleep - he was exhausted. Katherine, however, got hardly any sleep at all that night.

The next morning, the two got up and once Mark thought Katherine looked 'proper' enough for her to meet his parents. He led her into the kitchen where his mother and father were (his master there as well). Mark introduced Katherine to everyone, and his parents were delighted that their son had finally found a girlfriend.

Everyone sat down for breakfast, Katherine finding the food to be much different then the food Jack would always try to make. Mark was very satisfied, everything was going smoothly...until a very very loud belch was heard from none other then Katherine.
Jack @ 09:05 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Katherine began to cry as Mark led her down the quiet streets of Port Royale in the dark, only some oil lamps aglow outside of the doors of the stone homes and shops. Mark continued to drag her along; he would be dead before they got caught. He led her into the wooden door of yet another identical stone shop with a sign swinging above that read "Windson Carpentry", and it had several planks of wood and a saw painted on it.

Inside was a rather large room full of carpentry tools and all kinds of wood. Mark let go of Katherine's hand and lit a large candle on a small stand, then picked the stand up and walked from the carpentry room and through another door, into what looked to be a combined kitchen and dining room, both small yet of Victorian fashion. Mark began to get a bit upset with Katherine because she wouldn't stop crying. He whispered hoarsely. "Katherine! You're going to wake my the others! My master and his wife sleep upstairs as well!"

Katherine continued to cry though, even as Mark took her upstairs and into his room. He sat her down on the bed and then went through a chest a few feet away. He pulled out a shirt and baggy pair of pants of his, then gave them to Katherine. She went into the other room to put them on, and when she came back, Mark was lying in bed in his pajamas (just a pair of pants), waiting for Katherine. She continued to cry as she crawled into bed with him, missing Jack more than anything in the world. She loved Mark, yes, but she was pissed at him. He had done this to her. He had tricked her into staying, because he had known she would follow him everywhere.
Katherine @ 07:26 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Jack had gotten his ship ready extremley fast, which was lucky for him because the soldiers were at the dock now, firing away. Jack glared at the group of soldiers and screamed something that wasn't all nice to them as his ship set off. He'd guessed that the British soldiers would've boarded one of their ships and followed him - but they just kept firing away, staying on the docks.

When Jack had gotten out of the Port safely - he'd had quite a bit of trouble though), the captain was starting to feel more and more depressed by the minute. He was alone...again, he didn't have the Pearl and he had no crew and no Katherine with him. "Kath'rine, love, I'll be back." he said, wishing Katherine could hear him and hoping with all his might that she wouldn't get caught. He had to laugh at himself though - why was he worried about her getting caught? It was only when he was alone that he'd get caught. But, whenever he was with Katherine, the two could always get away with no trouble.

Katherine, meanwhile, was with Mark who was gripping her arm tightly, leading her to his house. She was nearly in tears; this wasn't what she wanted at all. Plus, she didn't even get to say good bye to Jack.
Jack @ 04:53 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Mark looked desperately from Katherine to Jack. Jack was waiting for Mark's answer; was he coming aboard the Conquistador or staying in Port Royale? Katherine just looked at her feet, not really wanting to look into Mark's eyes; she knew he would be disappointed in her. Mark swallowed hard and then began to think to himself that perhaps if he stayed at Port Royale, Katherine would maybe, just maybe stay with him. Mark sighed and then looked sadly at Katherine. "I'm...I'm staying here. In Port Royale." Katherine looked up at him in shock. Didn't he want to be with her?!

Katherine stuttered. "B-but...w-wait...don't you want to b-be on the ship?" She held onto his arm. Mark shook his head. "I'm no pirate, Katherine. I'm a carpenter." Jack folded his arms and began to look around, waiting for Katherine to come with him. Katherine bit her bottom lip. "Well...well then I'm...I'm staying with you..." Before Jack could respond (it would have been a response of shock), a gun shot was fired. It hit the dock as several British soldiers began to run towards the three. Jack screamed at Katherine and Mark. "GET OUT O' HERE! NOW!" He pushed Mark and Katherine away so they wouldn't get caught, then he ran onto his ship, trying to get away from the soldiers as fast as possible.
Katherine @ 03:22 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Jack kicked the ground angirly. "It wasn't the Pearl..." he said to Katherine. Katherine, who was frowning already, nodded slowly. "I heard." she said quietly. It was completley silent for a long while until Jack took a deep breath and said, "I guess we should get going, eh? I don't wanna stay here...I don't like Port Royale." he said and turned around to board the ship, but Mark stopped him when he said, "Can't we stay here a little while?" he asked.

Jack shook his head. "No! We're leaving!" Mark sighed, "But-" The Captain turned to Katherine, cutting Mark off. "You don't want to stay here, love, right?" he asked her. Katherine answered immdiately. "Not one bit." Jack nodded and folded his arms. "Two teh one, mate...We're leaving."
Jack @ 03:03 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Jack's face fell; he felt as though he was dying. "She's...she's not the Black Pearl?" The captain of the Black Pearl lookalike just cackled at Jack. "Cap'n Sparrow, I hardly believe in ghost stories. There ain't no such thing as the Black Pearl. She went down to Davy Jones's Locker, along with Cap'n Barbossa." Jack was so upset that he didn't say anything. He just walked away towards Katherine and Mark, who were both standing on the dock beside the Conquistador. Mark was pissed because he wanted to talk to Katherine alone, Katherine was pissed because they had to stop at Port Royale, and Jack was pissed because it wasn't the Black Pearl. Not to mention, British soldiers were surrounding the island.
Katherine @ 01:50 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Jack grinned. "That ship...it's mine!" The captain continued to frown. "Who are ye?" he demanded. Jack glanced at Katherine then back at the captain. "Captain Jack Sparrow!" he answered proudly and added in, "And that ship you've got...it's mine!" The captain rolled his eyes and walked off, thinking Jack was either drunk or mad all together. Jack followed him and tapped him on the shoulder. "She is the Black Pearl right? You surely know-" The captain cut him off by pushing Jack to the ground. "My ship ain't the Black Pearl!"
Jack @ 02:42 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Katherine's eyes widened. "Jack! Oh my God! Jack you're right!" Jack and Katherine started flailing their arms around everywhere, just to see if they could get the attention of someone on the ship. After about half an hour, the ship pulled up close to them, and both the Black Pearl and the Conquistador, Jack's current ship pulled into the harbor at Port Royale. The captain stepped off and frowned at Jack. "Who're ye and whata ye want?" Jack grinned and motioned to the ship. "That's...that's my ship, mate!" The captain's frown deepened and put a hand on his machete knife. "What're ye talkin about?"
Katherine @ 01:17 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Katherine opened her eyes slowly and moaned. She forced herself out of bed and opened the door. "M-mark...?" she asked yawning. Mark nodded stiffly and took a step so he was inside her cabin. "Sorry...but I wanted to apologize. I'm sorry about earlier." he paused and swallowed, "I just think that it would be nicer if we went to Port Royale and lived there together...instead of living here." he bit his bottom lip as Katherine slowly started to wake up fully. She glared at him a little - he was still at it?! "Mark, I d-" she was cut off when there was quite a bit of racket herad from up on the deck. Mark sighed angirly as Katherine walked quickly past him so she could go see what all the noise was about.

She got up on deck and there was Jack, pointing and screaming. She raised a brow and walked over to him. "Jack?" she asked. The captain whipped around and grinned. "Katherine! Look!" he pointed out to the sea. There was the outline of a ship - it was hard to see, but Katherine could make it out. "That ship! ...She looks just like the Pearl!"
Jack @ 01:11 p.m. , Tuesday, July 29, 2003

Katherine decided to get up and pull her nightgown on; she was dead tired, and it was much later than she had thought. She folded her dress up then crawled into bed and pulled the covers up over herself. But Katherine couldn't fall asleep. She liked Mark...actually, she loved him. But she didn't think he cared whether or not she was a pirate. Katherine thought that Mark would want to be with her no matter what...

She fell asleep a couple minutes later, and around midnight she heard a knock at the door. "Katherine? It's...it's Mark....please open the door..."
Katherine @ 01:51 p.m. , Saturday, July 26, 2003

Katherine looked up at him angirly. "Just...Leave me alone!" she shouted and pulled herself away from him and marched down the stairs and into her cabin. She was so upset with Mark. She was lady, yes, but she was also a pirate. And she wanted to stay a pirate. Katherine slammed the door behind her and fell down on her bed, and stared up at the ceiling.

It was completley silent unil she heard a short series of crashes come from down the hallway. She smiled a little, hearing Jack laugh at himself and start skipping back up on the deck, still singing. There was no way she was going to leave her life as a pirate behind.
Jack @ 12:50 p.m. , Saturday, July 26, 2003

Katherine folded her arms, still looking upset and uncomfortable. She threw the empty bottle that had carried rum overboard and began to slowly walk around. "I just...I want to stay here, on the ship. Jack and I have...well...we've been partners. We've always been partners. Leaving him for that little while I went with you and my father, well, I hated it..." Mark groaned. "He's just a pirate, Katherine! Just another filthy, swashbuckling pirate!" Katherine was fuming. "NO HE ISN'T!" She shoved him as hard as she could and he glared at her. "YES HE IS! AND YOU'RE NOT A PIRATE, NO MATTER HOW MUCH YOU THINK YOU ARE! YOU'RE A LADY! AND YOU DESERVE A BETTER LIFE THAN THIS!" Katherine tried to walk away from him, but he put a hand on her shoulder and flipped her towards him so he was looking her in the eyes, his small ponytail beginning to fall out from going after her so quickly. "KATHERINE!" He panted. "Won't you just trust me?"
Katherine @ 11:17 a.m. , Saturday, July 26, 2003

Mark swallowed and nodded stiffly. "A-alright..." he paused and looked at Katherine, "I'm sorry." He still wanted to them to go back to Port Royale and live there together, not having anything to do with pirates or any of that. But now, he knew he wouldn't be able to convince her. He bit his bottom lip, what he was about to ask would probably get Katherine upset with him, but he had to try anyway. "D'you think...that we could go to Port Royale and live there in a couple years...and not be, well, here...?"

Britt- Sorry I didn't get online yesterday...my Mum surprised me and took me to the mall. :P Also, I don't think I'll be able to stay on long enough today to talk to you - but I will be online on and off today and I'll try my hardest to post here. Tomorrow my friend from Indiana is coming over -but if you're on in the morning, I think we'll be able to talk. <3 Dun
Jack @ 11:01 a.m. , Saturday, July 26, 2003

Mark cleared his throat as he walked up to Katherine and Jack singing. Katherine frowned and ignored him, but Jack grinned from Mark to Katherine. "Kath'rine, looks like yer mate wants you." He winked. "I'll be goin!" Jack walked below deck, and Mark turned to Katherine. "Katherine, look," he said seriously, "I didn't mean to offend you or anything, I swear I didn't. But I really, really think you could get yourself cleaned up, you know...?" Katherine just scowled at him. "I'm not changing who or what I am for you." She took a huge drink of rum. "You told me loved me, right? And that's a little hard to believe when you want me to wear dresses and corsets and the massive hair dos like every other British woman out there. But you know what? That's not who I am."
Katherine @ 07:39 a.m. , Saturday, July 26, 2003

Mark bit his bottom lip and put his face in his hands. He knew immdiately he had said something wrong. He walked towars the door and opened it, deciding he would go after Katherine and talk to her again. He looked around the bottom deck, but there was no sight of her. She wasn't in any of the cabins or the small kitchen. She was nowhere on the lower deck, so he went up, knowing where she was now.

He spotted her with Jack. The captain had obviously done something to cheer her up, because they were both laughing, drinking rum and singing. Mark watched the two pirates for a while, and he knew he'd been right about what he'd said earlier. Katherine was raised by a pirate...and she was definately uncivilized. And it didn't help that she looked to Jack Sparrow to be her 'father figure'. At least, that's what Mark thought. He finally decided that he would cut in to get Katherine to try one more time to convince her.
Jack @ 11:06 p.m. , Friday, July 25, 2003

Jack, Mark, and Katherine spent the whole day at the docks looking for a ship that would work correctly. Jack kept saying things like "But she's just not the same as the Pearl..." When they were inspecting ships, and it did get him a little down, but Katherine always managed to buck him up again and get him on his feet, pointing out some new, large, exciting ship that he could be the captain of.

By the end of the day, they'd found one. The Conquistador (pronounced con-keys-tuh-door) was large but not too large, could travel at high speeds (especially if they were sailing in the direction of the breeze), and it was built to withstand even the highest winds. It had been stolen naught but a week or so ago from Port Royale itself by one of the pirates residing on the island for the time being. Jack planned that they would commondear the ship later that night.

The party went back to the inn, collected their few belongings, and set off. No one but a single guard was on the ship, and Jack easily threw him over board as they silently snuck on. Captain Sparrow grinned with delight as his new ship set sail, the wind blowing in his face, the dark horizon up ahead. He felt better than he had in ages. Meanwhile, below deck, Mark and Katherine were sorting out supplies that were on board the ship. Mark was a bit timid at first, but he finally found the courage to ask Katherine what he wanted to. "Katherine..I...well...you know I'm a carpenter's apprentice back in Port Royale, and...well...I was wondering if maybe, just the two of us, could go back there. We could live together in the room in my master's house, just you and I." He smiled sweetly, but Katherine bit her bottom lip. She didn't quite know what to say. "Er...well...I like being aboard the ship with Jack. It's always been that way." She tossed a barrel of salt over to the other side of the storage room. Mark frowned and picked up two bags of flour to put beside the salt. "But..heh...you don't want to be a pirate forever, do you...?" He laughed a little, but Katherine was not amused. She just frowned more deeply. "Actually, yes...I do." Mark cleared his throat. "But wouldn't it be great to get off of the sea for once? And we could buy you a couple of corsets and nice dresses, and some new under clothes, like the women in the British colonies wear. You know, get you a bit more civilized." Katherine's frown was now so deep that she was angry. "What do you mean...civilized?" Mark shrugged. "Well, you only have two dresses, and they're awfully dirty...and you don't walk or talk or act like a true English lady. We could fix all of that." Katherine looked appalled. "I can't believe you!" Mark raised an eyebrow. "What did I say...?" Katherine took a bag of dried peaches and chucked it at him, beginning to cry. "Oh, so I'm no civilized because I'm a pirate, is that it?" She turned on her heel and stomped out of the room, slamming the door behind her.
Katherine @ 08:44 p.m. , Thursday, July 24, 2003

Jack, who'd been on the brink of falling asleep, lifted himself up, and looked over at Katherine. "Don't worry 'bout him, love. I promise nothin' will happen to you...or yer mate." he said reassuringly. The captain layed back down and added. "You got Jack Sparrow with you after all..." he trailed off and fell asleep.

Katherine smiled a little, and turned her gaze back to Mark. Mark smiled at her, as tired as he was. "I won't let anything happen either." he said. Katherine smiled again and nodded a little. Mark yawned. "Now...can we go to sleep?" he asked. Katherine, still smiling, nodded. She kissed his cheek and the two drifted off to sleep.

The next morning, was entirley different from the last. Jack was up and wide awake early in the morning, poking Mark and Katherine over and over, trying to wake them up. "C'mon! We gotta find ourselves a ship!"
Jack @ 09:30 p.m. , Thursday, July 24, 2003

They all spent the whole day resting. Mark felt rather uncomfortable without a shirt, but he eventually got used to it, though he still tried to keep himself huddled up in one of the sheets or the quilt off the bed. Although he was meandering with pirates, he was still going to at least try to be polite and a gentleman like he used to be before getting himself into the crazy mess he was currently in. Katherine seemed restless and uncomfortable all day; she was constantly checking out the window and listening for noises out in the hall as if they were being watched.

That night, after the three had gotten a larger room (one with two beds), Katherine turned to Mark worriedly as they were beginning to fall asleep. "Mark..." She whispered. He opened his eyes, a tired air surrounding his face. "Ohuh..." Katherine swallowed hard. "I...I think my father's going to come after us...I just...I know he will, Mark..."
Katherine @ 08:14 p.m. , Thursday, July 24, 2003

Jack went back to marking things on the map when Mark hadn't replied to him. Mark fell back on his pillow, his head still pounding furiously. Katherine stayed asleep and a minute later, Mark wrapped his arms around her and he fell back asleep as well. Jack looked up at the two, with an eyebrow raised, and smiled. A little later in the night, Jack couldn't mangage to stay awake any longer and his head fell onto the table and he fell asleep.

The next morning, surprisingly Jack hadn't woken up early in the morning like he usually did. Katherine and Mark had woken up before him.
Jack @ 11:01 a.m. , Thursday, July 24, 2003

Jack managed to sling Mark over his shoulder and run like the wind, Katherine beside him, as Will Turner shot at them, trying to hit Jack or Mark; he would be pleased with wounding or killing either. Once getting into the port (an all-pirate port, thankfully), Katherine, who was still a bit red and puffy in the face from sobbing, began to pester Jack about getting Mark to a doctor quickly. "A doctor? There ain't no doctors amongst the pirates, love. You know that." He grinned. "But I think I know somewhere we can take 'im." Katherine worriedly nodded and followed Jack to one of the many disgusting pubs. Instead of going inside the front, however, Jack headed for the back. The climbed a set of stone steps up to the second floor of the pub. There was a short corridor filled with about four doors leading to rooms, just like an inn.

Jack opened the door to one of them to find a prostitute in bed with a pirate. He laughed, slammed the door shut, and opened another one. The second room was empty and surprisingly clean for a pirate's pub and inn. It was small with one little round window. There was a little round, three-legged table and two chairs, then an old bed with clean linen sheets and a fluffy feather pillow. There was a candle that's halfway burned out sitting on the table providing the only light in the rather dim room. Katherine looked at Jack, eyebrows raised. "And...this is a pirate's inn?" Jack grinned. "My ol friend Billy Bones runs the pub, 'is wife keeps the inn." Katherine nodded. She knew such a place could only be kept by a woman.

Jack laid Mark, who was still bleeding rather badly, down on the floor, as not to stain the sheets for when he was all cleaned up. Jack went off to fetch them all some rum and food as the sun set through the windows, and Katherine begin cleaning Mark's wounds and bandaging him up. When Jack returned, she was done, so the two of them ate and then lifted Mark (who was now shirtless with a pair of Jack's pants on since Mark's other clothes were bloody) onto the bed.

Mark awoke in the middle of the night. He was in complete shock to wake up with Katherine (only in her nightgown) asleep beside him in the bed. His head ached. He turned slowly from her to Jack, who was grinning and sitting at the table drinking and marking things on a map to figure out where they would be pilaging and plundering their little hearts out next. Mark propped himself up a little. "Jack...?" He looked confusedly from Katherine to Jack again, not knowing what had happened. Jack just grinned again. "She wanted to sleep with you, mate." He took a large swig of rum.
Katherine @ 08:40 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Will ignored Katherine and Mark, all he wanted to do at the moment was beat the crap out of Jack. He hated him. Jack had been able to dodge almost all of Will's punches, he was hoping that Will would get worn out eventually and stop, that way he wouldn't have to fight back or anything. But only a couple minutes later, Will screamed something no one understood at Jack and pulled out his sword.

Since Will and Jack were far away from each other at the moment, he threw the sword at Jack - aiming for his head - but the sword missed Jack by an inch as the sword went flying into the wall the captain had been standing against. Jack's eyes widened and he snapped around so he was facing Will again. "You tryin' to kill me?! STOP IT! I don't want teh fight you!!" he shouted.

Jack marhced over to Katherine and kneeled down beside her. "Just do what I say, love." he whispered as he swung Mark over his shoulder then put a hand around Katherine so she was in front of him. "Don't try nothin' Will or you'll end up hurting her instead of me." he said and as quickly as Katherine and him could manage they got off the ship.
Jack @ 04:42 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Jack tried to walk away from Will, but the captain just kept getting closer and closer, still throwing punches at Jack. Mark ran in between the two and tried to restrain Will from doing anymore, but Will landed a punch right in Mark's face, causing his nose and lip to begin to bleed very, very badly. Katherine gasped and went over to him, kneeling beside him as Jack tried to restrain Will without hurting him. Will kept shouting curses and things at Jack, but it didn't seem to phase the former captain of the Black Pearl. Jack finally whipped out a knife and put it beside Will's neck. "I don't want to hurt yeh, mate. But yeh need to settle down. Kath'rine's comin with me, no more arguing and fightin, mate." Will swallowed hard and made as though he was going to surrender, but he just flipped the knife out of Jack's hand and over the side of the ship.

Katherine, meanwhile, was trying to drag Mark's unconscious body away from the fighting so that he couldn't get hurt anymore; he was bleeding madly all over himself and the deck. Katherine tore open his shirt and ripped it into pieces to use as something to stop the bleeding until she could find actual bandages.
Katherine @ 03:32 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Will shook his head. "But...but, Elizabeth would've wanted Katherine to be with me!" Jack sighed. "You'll see her again, mate." he said, then he turned away from Will and started to walk off, but stopped when he felt a fist be shoved into his back. He fell to the ground and quickly got up and turned. "Wi-" he was cut off when he had to duck when another one of Will's fists that came flying towards his face.

Will glared at Jack. "SHE'S GOING TO STAY WITH ME!!" Jack raised a brow and opened his mouth to speak, but stopped when Will came running up to him, looking more angry then Jack had ever seen him. Mark and Katherine (who were standing on one of the last few steps together - they'd decided it would be best to watch Jack and Will from a distance and step in if they needed to) both jumped up and came running over to Jack and Will.
Jack @ 04:21 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Will choked back tears. "Katherine does so want to be here! I'm her father, and she wants to stay with me!" Jack sighed heavily and shook his head. "Will, Katherine don't want to be here. She don't want to be with you, which isn't surprising- you're...not too fit to be a daddy." Jack grinned, thinking it rather funny, but Will just began to cry and shoved Jack as hard as he could, which was quite hard. "ELIZABETH WOULD HAVE WANTED KATHERINE TO BE WITH ME!" Jack got up, frowning. "Will...Elizabeth woulda wanted Katherine to be happy, even if that meant not bein' with you. Saavy?"
Katherine @ 03:08 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

The next morning, they had gotten to the port and Katherine woke up last. She heard footsteps from the deck above and voices. Will and Jack's. She quickly pulled on her clothes and walked upstairs. There was Jack and Will, arguing about something and when she heard her name, she knew immdiately what it was about. So, before either Jack or Will could spot her, she quickly walked back downstairs to get Mark.

He was already up, smiling and putting a couple things in an old bag he'd found stored away. "We landed." Katherine smiled back and nodded. "I know." She and Mark finished packing up their things, both having a wonderful time with each others company and Katherine completley forgot about her father. After they finished, they walked back up to the deck.

Jack and Will were still arguing. "She wants to come with me!" Jack said, he wasn't looking nearly as angry as Will was. Actually he was annoyed with Will. Will glared at him. "YOU aren't her father! And I want her to stay here!" Jack rolled his eyes. "I wouldn't say you're much of a father to her..." Will swallowed. "S-SHUT UP! She's staying!!" Jack took a step towards Will. "But that's not what she wants." Will replied immdiately, "I know what's best for her, and I want her with me!!" Jack groaned. "Would you stop saying the same thing?! I know you want her with you...but the point is that she doesn't want to be here!"
Jack @ 03:57 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Katherine frowned. "But...he's just trying to be a good father..." She said quietly. "Even though he's horrible at it..." A tear ran down her face. Mark lifted her a couple inches onto his lap and held her close, his shirt getting rather wet from her crying. Jack frowned as well. "But we could leave 'im behind and things'll be just like they used to! Just you and me, love!" Mark shot a glare at Jack, so Jack laughed. "And your mate, here." Katherine wiped away several of her tears and looked up at Jack. "Promise things will be the same?" Jack nodded and grinned. "Just like on the ol' Pearl." Katherine smiled a little as Mark kissed her on the top of the head. Jack stood. "We land at the port tomorrow! And from there we set sail! Drink up! Yo ho yo ho!" Jack bounced off into his own cabin to begin getting the few things that he owned ready to go.

Mark, meanwhile, picked up Katherine and carried her to her own cabin, then laid her down in her bed. He sat beside her and brushed the hair out of her eyes, then smiled a little. "I love you." She smiled back tiredly. "I love you too." She took his hand and pulled him down beside her, so that they were both lying there on the bed. Mark kissed Katherine's neck, and she sighed in relaxation; things were finally going to be okay. If Will let her go as easily as they were planning, anyway...
Katherine @ 02:35 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Will lowered his head and stared down at the ground. He put his face in his hands and groaned. He couldn't do anything right anymore. Will had ended up staying on the deck the rest of the night. He'd guessing that it would probably be best if he did anyway, because Katherine would just yell at him and that would be leading him to feeling even more depressed.

Katherine meanwhile, looked for Mark and she found in him in the cellar with Jack, who was awake now and surprisingly sober. Katherine sighed a little with releif - glad to see Mark was alright - and walked over to the two.

Jack grinned when he saw Katherine. "Mark told me what happened," he said as Katherine sat down next to Mark, which was across from Jack. The captain continued, "And since neither one of you is havin' much luck with ol' Will...d'you wanna leave at the next port? Just the three of us! We'll get a nice big ship and maybe some new crew members...then we'll go on a port raid!" he suggested excitedly.
Jack @ 03:08 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

Katherine cried as she lifted herself up off of the ground, scowling at her father. "I'M FINE! HE DID NOTHING TO ME!!!" Will looked a bit taken aback; his voice quieted. "I was only trying to help, I didn't mean to-" Katherine cut him off. "I HATE YOU!! YOU'LL NEVER BE WHAT MUM WAS OR WHAT JACK IS TO ME! I HATE YOU!!!" She shoved her father as hard as she could and then turned to go below deck and find Mark.
Katherine @ 12:31 p.m. , Wednesday, July 23, 2003

It took a moment for Will to spot Katherine and Mark - but when he did, he immdiately went red in the face with anger. He marched over to them and yanked on Mark's shoulder, which made the boy fall over backwords on his rear end. Katherine's eyes widened. Her father had found out. He'd already found out...and their relationship had really only started today. Will ignored Katherine, for now, anyways. Instead, he turned his attention towards Mark. "What in bloody hell do you think you're doing?!" he screamed.

Mark stutterted - he had no idea what to say. "S-sir...K-Katherine and I...w-we were-" he was cut off by Will again. "STAY AWAY FROM HER!" he picked Mark up, pulled him over to the stairs and pushed him down below the deck with all his strength. Will back over to Katherine was in tears again. He kneelded down in front of her, "Katherine, are you alright? He didn't do anything to you, did he?!"
Jack @ 09:48 p.m. , Tuesday, July 22, 2003

Mark slowly pulled away from Katherine and smiled at her. She smiled back; a sweet tingling relaxing feeling was making its way through her entire body, and she loved it. But she couldn't help but turn her smile into a frown. "He's going to find out...he'll ban you...he'll throw you off the ship..." Mark tried to think of something that he could say to reassure her, but before he could, Katherine began to slowly walk around, her arms folded and hands on the opposite elbow, thinking to herself and frowning. Mark finally spoke, completely changing the topic. "I hear you crying at night. You're...you're dreaming about her, aren't you? You're dreaming about your mother?" Katherine looked at him, half surprised. "I..er...she was killed by pirates...a bit ironic, isn't it?" Mark nodded slowly as Katherine began to cry. "I hate the dreams...they won't go away...all I feel is pain...being afraid to go to sleep..."

Mark shoved his hands in his pockets, not quite knowing what the right thing to say would be. Katherine spoke again. "I need to feel something besides this..." She looked up at Mark, who had a sympathetic look in his eyes as his down-to-his-shoulders brown hair blew in the breeze. Katherine continued to speak yet again. "I want to be with you...it's either that or I'm going to stick my hand in fire, because I need to feel something besides this..." Mark said nothing, but he leaned down and kissed her as she cried. Will Turner was sleepily making his way up on deck just in time to see the two.
Katherine @ 06:48 p.m. , Tuesday, July 22, 2003

Will woke up and sat up straight, breathing a little heavy. He was nearly in tears; his wife was gone and his daughter hated him. He slowly crept out of bed, wanting to talk to Katherine, or maybe get himself some rum to try and get the images from his dream out of his head.

He walked into the cellar, where he found Jack with his back against the wall, sleeping. He smiled a little and grabbed a bottle of rum, then made his way up onto the deck where he'd soon find Katherine and Mark.
Jack @ 07:04 p.m. , Tuesday, July 22, 2003

Will, still extremely suspicious of Katherine, turned to Jack. Jack went up to Will and put a hand on his shoulder. "Will! The mainbrace is broken! We need teh get one when we stop! Saavy, mate?" Jack had lots of alcohol in his system; when he had declared his statement about the mainbrace, he was saying it so triumphantly that most would've suspected he was making a presidential campaign speech. Will nodded and laughed a little at Jack. "Alright, then. When we get to the port, you're in charge of finding us a new mainbrace." Jack grinned. "That, I can do, mate!" Jack stumbled off, up the stairs and onto the deck. Will smiled and shook his head, and when he turned back to talk to Katherine, he was surprised to find the door shut in his face. He raised an eyebrow but figured he didn't want to upset her more than he already had, so he followed Jack up on deck.

In Katherine's room, she was trying to explain to Mark exactly how much trouble the two of them would be in if her father figured out what was going on. Mark frowned. "But...why would he be so angry...?" Katherine rolled her eyes and tried to explain for the third time. "Mark, he's...overprotective, I guess. Just...just please don't do anything stupid that's going to give us away." Mark just nodded, and he and Katherine ended up staying in her cabin for the rest of the evening, talking about all kinds of things. Around midnight, when the rest of the crew was gone to sleep, the two went up on deck and looked at the stars. It was a clear night in the Caribbean, a slight breeze blowing, not a cloud in sight. And they began to kiss.

Will was tossing and turning in bed; he couldn't stop dreaming about Elizabeth. She was standing on the edge of a dock on a foggy morning before sunrise; the air was chilly, and Will began to move toward her. "Will...you're not doing a very good job..." Will moved closer to her. "What do you mean? Elizabeth? What are you talking about?" He reached his hand out towards her. Elizabeth spoke to him but would not reach out and touch him as he was trying to do to her. "You're not taking care of my daughter, Will...you don't care about her..." Will frowned. "Elizabeth! No! I do care! I do!" But Elizabeth had faded away into the water. She was replaced with a three-year-old Katherine sitting on the edge of the dock with one of her father's hand-crafted swords on her lap, singing lightly. "Drink up, matees drink up...yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life is the life for me. Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me." The small Katherine turned up towards her father; she was weeping. "I hate you, Daddy...you let them kill Mommy...I hate you...I hate you..."
Katherine @ 05:44 p.m. , Tuesday, July 22, 2003

Katherine forced herself to smile up at her father. He didn't notice it'd been a forced smile - if it were Jack on the other hand, he would've known straight away. Will smiled back his daughter. "Just came to tell you that we'll be stopping earlier then planned...sometime tonight, I think." Katherine nodded quickly. "Alright." Will took a step into Katherine's room, he obviously came to talk with her about other things. Katherine immdiately stepped in front of him, blocking his way in.

Will raised an eyebrow. "Katherine...? Is everything alright?" Katherine nodded. "Yes! Everything's fine! I'm just...feeling a little, eh, lightheaded." She nodded a little then added, "I think I'm going to lay down for while." Will nodded his head slowly, still a little suspcious. "Alright...if you need anything come get me." He turned and started to walk out, but before he left, there was a loud thump that came from behind him.

Will turned around to Katherine. "What was that?" he asked. Katherine thought up a quick reply. "That was probably Jack...um...he's drinking, right?" Will shrugged and before he could do anything else, Katherine quickly said, "I'm going to go to sleep." then shut the door. Will had started to walk away, but only a minute later, there was another loud noise that came from Katherine's cabin. He raised an eyebrow - he was sure that that had come from Katherine's cabin.

He walked back over and opened the door without knocking. Katherine came into his sight - she'd shoved Mark behind the door. "Katherine? Are you alright? I heard-" he was cut off when Jack came dancing down the hallway and nearly fell over on Will. "Will! I was lookin' for yeh!"
Jack @ 06:10 p.m. , Tuesday, July 22, 2003

Mark reddened even more. "What..?" Katherine looked up at him, biting her bottomlip. "I hate my father...I want to...to be with you." She looked back down at her feet, not really knowing what to say. There was another silence between the two of them, and then Mark took a step towards Katherine. He took several of his fingers and gently tilted her chin upwards with them, then smiled sweetly. She smiled softly back at him, then he leaned in and kissed her.

They kissed like that for quite a long while, at least until there was a knock on the door. Katherine and Mark looked over, and Katherine pushed Mark away a little, then whispered. "Get in the closet!" He nodded and managed to somehow fit himself in. Katherine took a deep breath and then walked over to the door, silently praying that it wouldn't be her father, and that if it was, Will wouldn't see Mark and be suspicious of what they were doing. She opened the door and, lo and behold, it was Will.
Katherine @ 04:33 p.m. , Tuesday, July 22, 2003

Mark went an even deeper red and said nervously, "Y-you know I think I fell in love with you the first time I saw you." he paused and continued, "And I love because...becuase I love everything about you." It was silent until they could hear Jack singing up on deck. Mark bit his bottom lip, "Except, I don't much like that you like that Jack Sparrow."

Katherine rolled her at his last comment. But she smiled a little and then turned a light shade of red as well. "Know why I stayed on this ship?" she asked. Mark nodded. "To be with your father..." Katherine shook her head slighty and looked down at the ground, "I stayed so I could be with you, Mark."
Jack @ 08:40 a.m. , Tuesday, July 22, 2003

Dunny, I just took my post from last time and stuck it on this one so we can just start from where the last one left off. ;) I'll talk to you tomorrow afternoon =D -Britter

Katherine looked up at her father, wiping the tears from her eyes. She was angry with him, really. "So...so that's all y-you have to s-say to me; That's it?" Will looked a bit taken aback. "Well..er...what was I supposed to say;" Katherine stood and turned to walk out of the room, continuously sobbing. "You were supposed to be like a real father and give me some decent advice.." She slammed the door behind her and went into her own room, which she found Mark in. He was sitting on the bed looking rather worried, obviously waiting for her. He looked up at her and then stood quickly, walking over to her. "Katherine...I...er...Jack said you were upset..." Katherine went into the rather small closet/pantry in her room and began pulling on her nightgown, not speaking to Mark. He sighed and then sat back on the bed, putting his face in his hands. "I...I really hope it's not about what I said earlier..." He flushed red. "I just...I probably shouldn't have said what I did..." Katherine slipped on her robe and then walked out and looked at Mark, wiping tears from her eyes. He immediately stopped talking and looked up at her. She sighed heavily, looking positively distressed. "How could you love someone like me..."
